Review summary

This is my 5th cruise on Carnival but my first on the Conquest. I have been on the Valor and the Freedom and feel that Conquest needs some improvements. We stayed in the Grand Suite and for that cost, they should have kept up on wear and tear items. The bathroom had mold in the caulking around the bottom of the doors and rust coming from the shower attachments. Also, the tub had numerous pits that made the tub appear unclean. It's not so hard to reglaze the tub! Shame on carnival. The balconies also show major signs of age. Dirty and rusty. Also on previous cruises, I've always noticed staff constantly cleaning the rails, elevators and commons areas. This is the first ship that I never noticed any cleaning being done, beside general vacumning and housekeeping. Kind of surprised to see this. Besides these issues, I loved the staff as usual. I've never encountered a rude or staff member unwilling to help. I love to interact with them and learn about their lives. This ship's crew did not disappoint. These minor issues won't deter me from Carnival but I would probably not spend the money on the Conquest but rather a different ship within their fleet.

Actually was disappointed by the shows. The Brits show was entertaining, but thought all the others were not up to par.

Sorry to read that the condition of the ship somewhat spoiled your vacation. Ships do take a beating and I' m hopeful that Carnival will repair what they can. Ships have only hours between sailings - not enough time to do major repairs until the ship goes in for refurbishment.

literally just got off the ship today took a 8 day cruise suppose to be to st kits, st Martin, Puerto rico and grand turks. thanks to mother nature we had to skip St kits and St Martin. a lot of disappointment. we stayed overnight in Puerto Rico. and stopped in nassau which was another letdown they could of picked another port. there was already 7 ships in port so it was extremely crowded and very limited on the excursion. we ended up going to Saunders beach and rented 2 waver runners for 100 bucks Which made it worth it. The food was bland and still does not compare to MSC or royal Caribbean, Guys burgers was delicious. Didn't eat at the buffet that much, it was like a war zone. the service was awesome. stayed on a balcony on the 8th floor, no complaints about the room was very nice...upcoming cruisers should have a good time. but the weather definitely was the cause of disappointment for a lot of people

going on conquest in march, this will be my 2nd time I love this ship it might have some cosmetic issue but ships take a beating and the saltwater does them no mercy.

We were on in May and found it worn and dark in decor. Wrote an extensive review back in June for those who have yet to go and are fretting. We still had a good time. Just not the best we've had.

We are doing the conquest sept 26 . A little nervous now. This will be our 4th cruise on carnival....first on conquest .

We have been on 8 cruises with carnival. Twice on Conquest and our upcoming 9th cruise will be on Conquest again. We always have a great time regardless. Just hoping after reading this that we aren't too disappointed. The big plus for us is this cruise is going to 4 ports we haven't been to.
