I haven't been on a Carnival cruise in about 5 years, I must say the quality has dropped quite a bit. Food was a disappointment a lot of the meals. The ship was totally overcrowded, couldn't move. Try to find a table to eat, can't. Try to find chairs to sit on by the pool, walk around for an hour. Go in the pool? forget it was packed 24 hrs a day as was the jacuzzi's with kids, all day all night. And when tired of dealing with tons of people and cigarette smoke all over, go to the room to rest and kids are running up and down the hallway screaming and yelling. Will definetely not do a carnival again. Even the shows were short, and relied on blinking background and not a lot of talent. The only redeeming night was Eddie Capone, the comedian, I laughed hysterically. He was fantastic. Overall, was disappointed and will wait till I can afford a really great cruise on a better line!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

not great like I said, a few meals were good, but some things I coudn't even eat, their cheese cake looked fake and felt like rubber, the taste was discusting and I could go on and on about other dishes
Onboard Activities

boring! Yawn...
Entertainment
3 out of 5
really not great and hardly anything except games. The last day at sea I really thought we would have fun things to do and it was the same old same old, stupid games on stage, ice sculpting which we couldn't see since everyone was standing in front of it. Over all sucked
Children's Programs
don't have little kids but there were so many of them running around
Service and Staff

MOst of them were nice but a lot of them smile then they turn their head and you can tell they aren't happy. Some were actually happy like our porter Mariano, he was a doll.

Cabin / Stateroom

definitely does not look like that picture, it was extremely tight and me and my mom kept bumping into each other. Very squishy and bed sucked, had a backache everyday.
Ship tip
Don't do the buffet for breakfast, the food is not good if you can get to the dining room before 9 it ends then, that's your best option. Servers not that nice in morning but food better.
we went on the tour to the mayan village and how they live it was very interesting and our tour guide was the best. She is Mayan so is passionate about it.
took the "magical chair" for $12. you can walk for 6 minutes to the beach, unless you really can't walk don't waste the money. Had a hard time finding a chair to sit on at the beach and the weather wasn't cooperating all day so basically walked around their village, kind of boring but got a chair at some point and just relaxed
The beach is beautiful, our waiter was really nice, the only thing I hated was the constant people trying to sell something all day, literally every minute someone comes over to sell you something, I understand they are trying to make a living it's just a lot when you are there 5 hours
