Overall, loved this cruise. My boyfriend and I made some friends and spent a lot of time with them. Shoutout Lala, Kayla and Chris! I will say I prefer the smaller ships but I enjoyed the Celebration a lot.
Embarkation

Walked right in the terminal at our selected time, got through everything quickly and only waited around 10 minutes for our section to be called to board the ship. Muster station was easy to find and was quick and easy.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food in the main dining room was terrible. There wasn’t a single dish I enjoyed and usually I didn’t finish the food and went elsewhere to eat. Wait time once we sat at table was terrible. When the waiter did show up they’d try to take our food order before we’d even ordered drinks. One waiter said “I don’t take drink orders, only food. Where is your other waiter?”….my group just looked at each other and shrugged! How would we know??
On past cruises I went to the MDR every night but after the third time this cruise I didn’t go back. Food pretty much everywhere else was good. See venue reviews.
Also, if this review were just for MDR it would get 0 stars.
Chibang restaurant was delicious but again, waited probably an hour to get our food and rarely able to ask for a refill on drinks.
The pizza at Miami Slice was fantastic. I ate way too much of it. Sandwiches at the deli were also very good.
Cucina del Capitano

Similar to MDR as far as wait time and staff not being around to refill drinks or even take a drink order. However, the food was amazing!
BlueIguana Cantina
4 out of 5
Only ate breakfast here once, had a burrito before getting off the ship. It was alright. Staff was very friendly.
Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse/Brewhouse
5 out of 5
Ate here once, kind of hard to find because of the location but it was delicious. I tried a small amount of everything because it was the last day of the cruise and I knew I wouldn’t get to try it again. All was delicious.
Lido Marketplace

Had breakfast here once, the food was decent. About the same as usual.
Guy's Burger Joint

Love Guys Burgers. Ate here 3 or 4 times and it was always quick and delicious.
Onboard Activities

There’s lots to do on this ship
Casino

Lost some money and had a good time 😂 don’t spend more than you’re willing to let go of and you won’t get mad when you lose.
Serenity Adult-Only Retreat
5 out of 5
Pool wasn’t crowded and even though there were times when all the best seats were saved with nobody sitting in them, it was still a relaxing place to go hang out and chill
Carnival WaterWorks
5 out of 5
Some friends tried the slides and they enjoyed them a lot
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Entertainment was good, wish there were more entertainment options earlier in the day instead of jewelry sales and that type of stuff.
The layout of the main show area sucks. Very hard to get a seat, people line up hours earlier. Many seats that aren’t right up front have obstructed views.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
This would be 5 stars if it hadn’t been for the wait staff being extremely slow and sometimes a little rude. Not used to that with Carnival…maybe it’ll get better.
Room steward always did a great job.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very clean and new. Layout overall was good but the smokehouse bbq is in a weird spot, you won’t know it’s there unless you’re looking for it. And the main show area is very poorly designed.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Very comfortable for 2 people. We were fine with the size of the room and bathroom. Lots of plug-ins and USB ports. Very clean, no complaints. I always recommend a Cove Balcony
Ship tip
Relax and have a good time. Treat others as you want to be treated, make some friends on board.
