Cruised May 21st - 28th.... by christyann15

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Breeze

Cruised May 21st - 28th. We loved the ship! Beautiful ship and awesome cruise director! Loved Schwartz! Any activity Schwartz is part of is so much fun! Anyway, we stayed on deck one ocean view just above the gangway. Great location. Quiet, easy on and off at ports. The ship seemed a little understaffed. Our room steward did a good job, but was not personable at all. The food in mdr was just ok, but Guys was great as always! Back pool staff didn't wait on you if you were in the pool, but the main pool waiters were a little better. Ship was completely full. Loved the piano bar and comedy shows. Overall, we had a great time and are already booked for next year.

Safe Robbed by Staff by BlessYourHeart

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our 1st cruise on Carnival. Our last cruise was with Viking 15 days. I do have to say that even with the Casino Staff using our room key to access our room and rob us of all cash in our safe.. we did have a good time. We did the Chefs Dinner which was outstanding, we ate in the Steakhouse 2 nights, the Italian restaurant 3 times... everyone went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable time.

(***SECURITY Staff was a joke... while filing a report about having our room safe robbed, we where made to feel  like we were the criminal..... because of this we can't say we will ever cruise with Carnival again)

I have Cruised with Celebrity 17 days and 12 days, Princess 14 days and 12 days. All international never been robbed.  This was a 7 day and before first port which was on the 3rd day we had no cash.

Carnival has my heart! After... by SydneyS

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Breeze

Carnival has my heart! After going on Royal Caribbean just recently I have been able to compare and I can now say Carnival knows what their doing. Everything on this ship was magical. The music and entertainment has something for everyone. Sitting in the atrium and just listening to the string music was my favorite and at night the club was always full of fun dancing people. The Piano Bar was another great spot where you can even request songs! We went to the dining room each night and the servers and assistant servers really felt like friends. On my fathers birthday they made him his own cupcake and sang happy birthday to him. We were having a conversation over wine with one of the assistants and my mother mentioned the word cheese and immediately he excused himself and came back with two cheese plates for us to try with the wine. Talk about exceptional service! The pools and hot tubs never got too crowded, the lines for the two slides would get long but moved by very quickly. The rooms were a great size (3 closets!) and the balcony was perfect for two people to sit outside in the morning and have a continental breakfast while seeing and hearing the waves go by. There’s so much more to say but this review would be a book! After just getting back from a Royal Caribbean cruise for Christmas we just booked a cruise on the Carnival Dream out of New Orleans in May because we truly love it so much. If you go on the Breeze you won’t regret it!

Breeze fun by JDEV3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We loved the cruise.  The cruise director Schwartz was great.  Our room was great.  We had the balcony which totally made the room.  We were a bit skeptical on getting the balcony because of our four year old but there was no way he could open the door and it was no issue at all.  Our Steward was the best.  Our son loved the camp ocean and the movie nights on the lido deck.  The water works play area was where we spent our at sea days between 12-6.   We enjoyed the shows. Our favorite was Flick.

The excursions were well organized in Cozumel and Roaton however Belize our least favorite.  We were limited to what we could do with a 4 yr old so we decided on the Bacab Eco Park.   It was poorly organized and the majority of the time was spent on the bus ride.  The pool was pretty but we could have just stayed on the ship to swim had we known that was pretty much the only thing we did on our excursion.  We didn't have time to visit the shops because we had to stand in line to get back on the tender to get to the ship in time.    We did an excursion in Roaton that was not part of Carnival and we loved it.  It was our favorite by far.  We went to Daniel Johnsons Hangout. Our guide then took us to a private beach area where we fed the fish and went snorkeling.    Overall it was a great trip.  Can't wait for our next one

Beautiful ship but a few hickies by DebbieB

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Breeze is a beautiful ship!  But, our first morning as we were walking around the track, we happened upon the basketball court where a young man (21-24) was on the ground lying into the enclosure net grasping his right leg in obvious pain.  Apparently it was a heated game and he had just gotten hurt as his teammates were just getting to him.  We walked around the track again and once again stopped and his teammates were screaming for medical assistance and a Carnival staff member was just now coming onto the court.  We walked around again twice, before a staff member in a red shirt with a backpack comes sauntering up as this poor man is writhing in severe pain.  As an ex-EMT I stood watching expecting the medical guy to do something all the while the poor mans teammates are the ones holding him up and have his leg propped on one of their backpacks.  By this time, there are several staff members present but not assisting the victim, all talking on radios or phones while the man is sweating and writhing in pain.  We continue to stand observing as are four other people, one who is videotaping the scene and 3 that are in college for physical trainers.  We begin telling the one medical person to splint/stabilize that leg and he tells us he does not have a splint!  The man videoing asks to video my watch and states at this point it has been 35 minutes and no one from Carnival has touched this man!  It is decided that the victim needs to be taken off the court and it is decided that his teammates must carry him off basket style!  They slowly pick him up, trying to hold his leg still with no assistance from Carnival staff and the victim is in severe pain and finally tells them to stop so that he can vomit!!!!  There were several Carnival staff just standing around and the teammates are told to carry the victim down a flight of stairs to a waiting wheelchair!!!!  This is totally absurd and we bystanders begin getting very vocal and I'm screaming that there must be an elevator on that floor since it is a handicapped accessible ship and supplies and equipment must be moved to that deck....and I'm ignored.  Still no doctor........  so the teammates manage to carry this poor man who is writhing in obvious pain down the very narrow and steep stairs and manage to place him in the waiting chair, where the staff still does not assist him and he must ask his teammates to place his leg on the foot pedal!  As an ex-EMT I was flabbergasted at the lack of concern and emergency medical treatment.  I did follow up on his condition the next morning and was told that his leg was broke around the knee area and that it was bad and all that was done was stabilized and told to get an MRI when back home!  This was on day one of a 7 day cruise!!!  Totally unacceptable.

Ship: Carnival Breeze

Loved this ship. Lots of activities. I prefer larger ships over the smaller ones. The Pig & Anchor is a nice addition to the ship. Of course, you have to eat the pizza, it’s a ship thing. I just wish they would have more made at night after shows, etc so the line isn’t so long. Go early for comedy shows, it’s always packed. Can’t wait for my next adventure.

Could have been worse by Mitch9700

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall, it wasn't too bad.  The first couple of days the toilets did not work in the lower level staterooms.  I was on Deck 8.  The sewer smell was bad the first day.  The food started out good but, went downhill towards the end of the cruise.  We had to divert from going to Jamaica for a medical emergency and wound up going to Honduras instead.  That still doesn't make sense to me.  Cayman was awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it.  The ship just got out of dry-dock and should have been in better shape but, we had a good time.

My 2nd time cruise with Carnival by cbg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The food and entertainment is always a plus. This was my 2nd cruise with Carnvial, last year we were on The Magic. I am also very happy to know that Carnival cares very much for their passengers and crew members. The cruise was re-routed for medical reasons, but the Captain and never missed a beat. We still had a great cruise. We are planning where to go next with Carnival.

Loved the Breeze. Had a cove balcony and enjoyed sitting watching the flying fish. The crew were friendly as usual. I hate that the Breeze left Galveston.

Great week on the Breeze by Mel78676

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We tried a cove balcony on this trip and enjoyed the privacy and being closer to the water.  The weather was great and something was always going on somewhere on the ship.  Bar tenders and wait staff remember you and what you drink.  And as always plenty of food to eat all day long!!

HappyBreeze had just come from dry dock. All the refurbs were awesome!  I'm platinum on Carnival and this was my 18th cruise with them.  I must say that Cruise Director Schwartz is the best I've ever had. A CD can make or break a cruise and he is phenomenal!  Great time!!!!

Love the staff good food fun director. One thing I did not like was that the hot tubs closed at 8. I understand they need to be cleaned. Food was spectacular and the melting cake was my favorite!

Great Carnival, but not Breeze Enough by rolohoyt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I had a great time at the Carnival Breeze, best service, and attentive personnel

We were 13 guys going on a stag party and had the best time at land and sea, maybe a little loud sometimes, but we tried to always be kind and fun. Everything went as planned and no buts or bad news, we would have liked some better shipmates but regardless, it is a great ship to travel according to its cost. With that budget we got great food, and amenities.

I think maybe Carnival was the best choice, but the Breeze (ship) could have been better. (Those slides still gave me a mark on my back that lasted the whole trip).

1st run out of dry dock by hpfay94723270

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The energy on this ship is always awesome!  The staff is friendly and the service is usually very good too.  This was the first trip back out since the boat was in dry dock.  Everything looked good and was extremely clean.  We did have a very large batch of new employees, which we felt on one hand was nice to have fresh faces excited with their new jobs, but on the other hand, we missed the treatment of the experienced employees who went out of their way to make the trip AMAZING.  Perhaps that was the problem, we have been spoiled for so long by Carnival, that when the service isn't completely over the top, we feel a little jilted.  Regardless, the staff did a fantastic job keeping us entertained and keeping things tidy.  We had a family room on a lower deck and our room was FREEZING.  I'm talking so uncomfortably cold that we never wanted to spend time there, because it wasn't relaxing.  We spoke to the guest services desk on 2 occasions, but were told that it would warm up... It didn't.  The photo gallery is completely digital now = AWESOME!  Gone are the days of searching for hours for your pictures.  We loved that!  The shows were good, but only highlighted 2 of the singers, it would have been nice to have a bit more variety.  We booked 2 excursions through carnival, both went off without a hitch.  The trip overall goes down as a success and we will travel with Carnival again, however with the kids getting older, we are considering another cruise line, just to have different activities available.
