Review summary
The energy on this ship is always awesome! The staff is friendly and the service is usually very good too. This was the first trip back out since the boat was in dry dock. Everything looked good and was extremely clean. We did have a very large batch of new employees, which we felt on one hand was nice to have fresh faces excited with their new jobs, but on the other hand, we missed the treatment of the experienced employees who went out of their way to make the trip AMAZING. Perhaps that was the problem, we have been spoiled for so long by Carnival, that when the service isn't completely over the top, we feel a little jilted. Regardless, the staff did a fantastic job keeping us entertained and keeping things tidy. We had a family room on a lower deck and our room was FREEZING. I'm talking so uncomfortably cold that we never wanted to spend time there, because it wasn't relaxing. We spoke to the guest services desk on 2 occasions, but were told that it would warm up... It didn't. The photo gallery is completely digital now = AWESOME! Gone are the days of searching for hours for your pictures. We loved that! The shows were good, but only highlighted 2 of the singers, it would have been nice to have a bit more variety. We booked 2 excursions through carnival, both went off without a hitch. The trip overall goes down as a success and we will travel with Carnival again, however with the kids getting older, we are considering another cruise line, just to have different activities available.

Ship tip
Don't skip the afternoon tea, available on a sea day. Bohan and Carl run the event and it is AWESOME. Simple teas, but amazing desserts and music.
