Review summary

There were 8 of us. My husband and I(in our 30’s) my parents (in their 60’s) and our kids ages 14-9. There was really something for everyone! We had so much fun on this one and probably our favorite to date. We loved the Breeze!!! The best staff, great food and amazing ports. We highly recommend trying this one!!

Embarkation

We had a check in time of 12-12:30 and we were in line and on the ship in 20 minutes! They run embarkation very well there!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I don’t think we had a bad meal the whole trip. Guys burger, Pizza and the Cantina never disappoint. The line for burritos was a little slow the first couple days but got a little faster. Bonsai sushi we highly recommend. Best dining room food to date! Our wait staff were on top of everything every single night. There were 8 of us and it usually took around 1 1/2hrs from start to finish. All meals were hot and delicious. We did the steak house one night and the food was very good but the service was very slow which is fine but make sure you have a lot time when you go. We also thought the buffet lines moved very quickly as well especially for how long the lines can be.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Our kids loved the sports square and arcade. We also got to experience the tree lighting ceremony which was actually really cool!

Entertainment

Our cruise director was NoNo and we LOVED her!!! We only made it to a couple of the Playlist productions but the ones we saw we thought were great. The comedians were hilarious.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward wasn’t the most personable guy but he cleaned our room every day and if there was something we needed he made sure we had it so we can’t complain! Our wait staff in the dining room were so fun and did so well with our boys. The aft pool bar had the best bartenders . They knew our names and always remembered how we liked our drinks. We were definitely impressed by them! All the staff around the ship were very friendly and we were always greeted with a hello and a smile!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Our favorite ship so far! I can’t wait to go on more from this class. There were always people cleaning everywhere we went. There was a weird smell that we would smell around the boat almost a musky and sulfur type smell but it was pretty faint.

Cabin / Stateroom

This was our first cove balcony. We usually stay on deck 7 and I think we’ll be going back to that. Nothing wrong this room and it’s great for getting on and off the ship on port days but we like being closer to Lido deck. If the price is right I definitely won’t turn it down though lol

Ship tip

Don’t sweat the small stuff and just have fun!!!

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
We just stayed at the port beach here. We got off and went to the left and almost all the way down is a place called Jack’s Shack. It’s absolutely worth the walk! Much less people and the chairs were free. Food was a decent price and the drinks were yummy! It has a really fun atmosphere. The most beautiful water we’ve seen!

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

We stayed at the pools at the port. It’s a beautiful area but we weren’t impressed with the staff here. The ladies taking food orders were really nice but some of the bartenders were not. I’d prefer to do an excursion if we ever came to this port again. The kids loved it here though.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We did our own tour of the city here. We took a taxi up to El Morro then walked back. The people trying to sell you their tours are a little aggressive right when you get off but I’m so glad we turned them down. It is so easy to do by yourself! We want to come back and spend a few more days here!

Port Canaveral, Florida

The port itself is great but it’s not a convenient port as far as transportation (cheaply) if you’re not staying close to port.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
We are in love with St Thomas!! We went to Magans Bay and it was gorgeous! Would highly recommend going there. I want to say it cost us about $8/person each way.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Unfortunately disembarkation went as smooth as embarkation. The only good thing was they were running late because the terminal wasn’t letting us in just yet so it meant more time on the ship for us!!!
