We had a great trip! Breeze is a really nice size ship that gives you many options for dining and entertainment. We ate at the Blush restaurant every night which served the most delicious and amazing food. Liz and Lucas were awesome performers and we enjoyed listening to them each night wherever they were playing. The Thrill Theater was really fun and definitely something to try. MarQ was a funny and fun cruise director and he was awesome during the Lip Sync battle. We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise!
Embarkation

We had FTTF with a check in time of 11:30am. We got there at 11am and were checked in by 11:10. The port used our passports as our picture ID for our sail and sign card and that was done right at the main door. We had to sit in the waiting area all of 10 minutes and were able to officially board soon after. Despite the staff directing us to line up row by row, apparently no one listened and it was a bit of a stampede by many guests, not my family. In fact, we were separated due to the rush of impatient guests. Overall, the checkin was easy and quick.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Blush restaurant was phenomenal! Pig & Anchor had the best bbq. We did not go to any of the specialty restaurants but Cucina del Capitano was open every day for lunch without additional costs. Lido buffet had good, fresh food. Deli and pizza was always busy but the food was great. The coffee bar at Ocean Plaza had yummy desserts!
Onboard Activities

The pools were always busy. We only used them on port days when most of the passengers were on shore. The waterpark and slides were fun. Cloud 9 spa was amazing! We got a couples massage and it was so relaxing.
Entertainment

Liz and Lucas were fun and awesome! Watched them each night they played. The Sea Sharps were great too. Sky Breeze played beautiful instrumental music. Dave at Red Frog played great music too.
Children's Programs

Our 11 yr old always wanted to go to camp. She enjoyed making and exploding a volcano. She had a blast!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We were at table 784 with Amin, Igusti, and Supak. They were amazing and always wanted to make sure everything was perfect for us. George, our room steward, went above and beyond. We only required evening cleaning but he always did it twice a day and gave us fresh towels each day. Our room was always clean and tidy.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The common areas were always immaculate and clean. We couldn't always say that about fellow passengers that frequently left cups in elevators or on chairs despite being close to a bar. The ship really needs an update. You can see the wear and tear pretty easily. The layout was okay. Everything was pretty centralized which was convenient but that left not many areas that were quiet and relaxing. We noticed there weren't a lot of quiet seating areas by a window that you could look out at the ocean. Sometimes we liked to have a nice cup of coffee from the Plaza cafe and just enjoy the view without being outside in the heat, but there weren't too many options. Lots of the seating areas were in a restaurant or in the middle of the ship with no ocean view (if you don't count Lido).
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was clean and the usual size for a Carnival ship. I rated it 4 stars because the wear and tear was quite obvious with the cracked shower floor and rust surrounding the balcony areas.
Ship tip
Go to Ocean Plaza, Deck 5, onto the Lanai deck outside...best bbq at the Pig & Anchor.
We chose not to have an excursion and just wanted to have a beach day, but by the time we docked, most of the free beach loungers were taken since Carnival Sensation arrived before us. It was about $20 for a chair with an umbrella and we didn't feel like paying for a chair. The sad part was there were so many chairs to rent on the beach that you couldn't even see the sand anymore. The aesthetic of the beautiful island was lost to the endless sea of chairs. We ended up going to Margaritaville and had a pool day because we had a very hot and grumpy 11 year old who was not in the mood to walk around anymore. The water was quite refreshing since it was another scorcher of a day. Of course, there weren't any available chairs there either, but we made due by just placing our beach bag by a planter and went into the pool.
Beautiful bay and port! We rode the sky ride which is about a 10 min walk from port. Amazing views! There were shops up at the top where you could browse through. We could have gotten a free shot of rum, I think, but we forgot because it was incredibly hot that day. The prices were higher here than most of the stores right by the port, so I would suggest saving your purchases till you go back toward the ship.
Only embarked from the port. Smooth and quick process. We did go to Cocoa Beach pier which had a nice atmosphere with the live band playing in the restaurant there.
The port was really clean and well maintained. It looked quite similar to Mahogany Bay's port with the nice plaza of stores right of the pier. We wanted to just walk around the port and not do an excursion, just to be safe. Lots of free wifi locations if you wanted to check your email and such.
We did not do an excursion. We wanted to walk around and "get lost." We loved Old San Juan because it still had the original architecture and the cobblestone streets. We visited the fort which was only a few blocks from port. Such amazing history it had and told. It was only $7/person (free under 14 yrs) and a great deal to walk around the fort and grounds.
