Review summary

A wonderful first cruise. We also realized how privileged we are. It made us realize that we should not take what we have for granted.. Donkey, our cruise director, was wonderful. We enjoyed the entertainment and the comedy shows.

When I tried to check in online, it would not allow me to say that I was going back to Canada when the cruise was over. This was a common problem that I was told other Canadians had experienced. It just meant that we had to go into another line but it moved very quickly.

Our servers at the Breeze restaurant were phenomenal. Cresha was our favorite.

Ship tip

Look for the hidden levels that had deck chairs. We were able to avoid the big crowds when we wanted to.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

There were some very aggressive merchants at this port. It made us a little uncomfortable.

Belize City, Belize

Once again, some very aggressive merchants. There was a lot of crime and poverty at this port. The tour guides tried to say how safe it was, but the reality was that the US embassy issued travel advisories for this area.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

We did the magical chair lift and spent quite a bit of time on the beach. It was beautiful. The water was fabulous. I lost something at the beach and it was even returned.
