A great 7 days. Another cruise with Carnival is on the agenda for March 2019 -- different itinerary only because I want to see different places.

Our flight, purchased through Carnival was on time -- 12:11 p.m.. We waited over an hour for the shuttle, also purchased through Carnival. About 10 miles from the pier one of our party got a call from Carnival asking where we were as it was now after 4:00 p.m. We were approximately 10 miles from the pier. There were also Carnival crew members (5, I think) on the shuttle. When we got off the terminal was essentially empty and we walked directly through security and onto the ship -- the smoothest embarkation I have ever experienced, although I became a little concerned about being left behind while riding the shuttle..

Maximo and Amy were very helpful in the dining room. Joaquim was an amazing stateroom steward always calling us by name. He anticipated all our needs.
Ship Quality

I did not like having to walk through the smoke of the casino on deck 5 and worked hard not to do so by walking outside or on another level when at all possible. The ship was always clean and dirty dishes and trash was picked up promptly.
Cabin / Stateroom

Fit our needs perfectly as my philosophy is that on this type of cruise the cabin is for showering, changing clothes, and sleeping.
Ship tip
Take a power strip with you. There is only one outlet in the stateroom.
