I probably will not book another Carnival Cruise. I was apprehensive to begin with and all my fears were realized. Overall very disappointed that I was not proved wrong.
Embarkation

This will seem odd but, our cruise was delayed due to fog. Galveston Port was closed and the Breeze could not dock. They finally started getting passengers off at 2pm. Imagine the dock area filled with 4000 people trying to get off and 4000 people trying to get on. The Staff handled this mess with the utmost of professionalism, speed and courtesy as possible. Passengers were cranky, had been waiting hours and inundated the dock, security and the ship. It all ran very smoothly considering the situation. We finally left port about 5 hours late but we made it
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Food was either so hot you could not eat it or down right cold. My prime rib was rubber and I could not cut it. Portions were microscopic, services was VERY slow. I would give a shout out to the Italian restaurant, Guy's Burger joint and the Lido Market Place buffet. They had the best food on the ship.
Redfrog Pub

Absolutely a must experience. Fantastic staff, great drinks, fun activities. Phancha, Aura, BoBo, Lotoya and Delphia remembered every patron we encountered, made sure everyone was being taken care of and went out of their way to give fantastic service
Blush Dining Room

Very poor service, cold tasteless food, selling carnival branded merchandise during dinner. I had to ask repeatedly every night for butter. They gave us 1 pat of butter for 4 people with the rolls, none with the potatoes. Most nights we finished dinner before the table next to us even got their appetizers. Do yourself a favor eat at the buffet, or Guys. Even pub grub at the Red Frog is a better idea. We had short ribs at the blush two nights in a row. My mom literally got sick
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There was something for every one, Music, comics, stage shows, trivia, casino, dance class, shopping, bingo. Plus access to the pools, mini golf, obstacle course, art auctions and karoke
Cloud 9 Spa
5 out of 5
Not too pushy on the sales pitch, three great massages! Friendly welcoming staff and many options for services
Fun Hub
5 out of 5
Must have on the ship the Hub app. Every thing you need to know about what is going on at your finger tips
Entertainment

Children's Programs
no children in our party
Service and Staff

Getting our cabin cleaned was almost impossible, I will say that cleaning the public areas of the ship was definitely the number one priority. Buckets, towels, vacuums blocking everywhere you wanted to go, bathrooms inaccessible because they were being cleaned. The exceptions to service were The Red Frog Pub, the Italian restaurant and the Lido Marketplace.
Ship Quality

If you were at that aft end dining and needed to get to mid ship or forward you had to go up or down decks to get there. You pretty much have to go through the Casino to get to most places, this is intentional I am sure. The adult only pool and sauna is only accessible from the spa. A LOT of cleaning in the public areas, making it difficult to navigate some areas
Cabin / Stateroom

it's two beds and a bathroom. What can you say. TOO cold or TOO hot, no middle ground. The twins were up against the wall and we spent most of the night banging into the wall. Not to mention what the neighbors were doing on the other side banging against it
Charm and Beauty of Nassau and Paradise Island. Fun, informative. Had a few stops to take pictures. Do NOT eat at Shareez, Shrimp and Rice for 2 plus two beverages was almost $100
Was on the Breeze in September and have 74 more days to be back on. I’ve never had the issues you talk about in the MDR. If the food was too hot, umm you wait a few minutes for it to cool off and if it’s too cold, simply send it back. The beds are the most comfortable beds ever! I always get the best sleep on Carnival.
As far as the staff vacuuming or mopping, they usually put the vacuum or bucket to the side in the halls as they know people will be walking by. And getting your cabin cleaned was almost impossible?? Sorry, but I’m not buying it. The stewards on the ship are some of the most hard working people I’ve encountered and in 7 cruises all on Carnival, I’ve never once had a complaint about my cabin being cleaned. In fact, they usually bend over backwards to accommodate you.
I must say that's a first for me.. I've never heard anyone complain because the public areas were too clean and that interfered with your fun because a vacuum or bucket was blocking your way! I'm guessing you would rather have a ship full of people vomiting? You would be hard pressed to find a better ship any most any area of customer service than the Carnival Breeze in my opinion.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I was on the Breeze in December and loved it. Thankfully I didn’t experience any of the problems you mentioned.
Wow I was on the Breeze in May of 2017, I will be on again in 53 days. After reading this review, it doesn't sound like the same ship. I love this ship!
