8 Night Eastern Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Sail Date: May 25, 2013 Ship: Carnival Breeze Cabin Type: Balcony Traveled As: Couple Reviewed: 5 years ago
I found that the departure procedures were much easier than some prior times. Very little waiting in line at port. The ship was well maintained, clean, and most of the staff was very helpful. The itinerary was a nice balance of stops, balanced with shopping, sight-seeing, and activities. The first night of Dining we had service that was so bad that the next day I requested a table change. Our glasses were never refilled, were not offered seconds on rolls or bread, waited a long time between courses, and had to wait over 20 minutes for sour cream to be brought for the baked potato. Not often do I complain, but it was terrible the first night experience. Our service at the second table was much better.
Our room service was great, the room,(a balcony) was comfortable and as expected. The shows were innovative and entertaining. We had a good time, but it is hard to forget poor service when it happens on the first night.
