Review summary

We love sailing with Princess. This was a great way to see the northeast of the US, and southeast of Canada.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
With the Princess Medallion and app, getting everything filled out prior to cruise and receiving the Medallion in the mail made check-in for Embarkation the easiest I have ever checked in. Excellent!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was great in the dining rooms. We didn't use a specialty restaurant this trip. Buffets was also great with excellent choices.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Movies under the stars is awesome. Always plenty to choose from to do around the ship.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The production shows were top notch. There were 4 of them on this cruise. The stage in the Princess theater was also quite amazing. Comedian was great! The instrumentalist and vocalist were also great shows.

Children's Programs

We didn't have any children sailing with us. There were only 11 children aboard on this cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The wait staff was great all over the ship, but especially in the dining rooms, Coral, Palm, and Island dining rooms. Our room steward was always friendly and on top of taking care of our room. The room is cleaned twice per day. Very helpful with getting our clothes laundered and getting us the things that we needed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Big ship with 3,200 guests on board, but you would not know there were that many people at all.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Inside cabin this trip. It is adequate in size and was well maintained by our room steward.

Ship tip

Be sure to familiarize yourself with the Princess Medallion App prior to going.

Ports of call

New York, New York

We spent one night in a hotel prior to sailing. It was the Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge, and is an amazing property. We had a view of the statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge from our room.

Newport, Rhode Island

5 out of 5
There was good shopping close to the port.

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
The duck boat tour was most excellent. A great way to see Boston in and out of local waterways, with lots of history provided on the tour.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Nice Port of call. Acadia park tour.

Saint John, New Brunswick

5 out of 5
We did the reversing rapids tour. Good tour, but the times allowed off the bus were not long enough at each stop.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
We did the hop-on hop-off tour. Good tour.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Nice port and excursion.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Did not visit port

This port of call was canceled for our cruise due to inclement weather

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
Very beautiful city. We did a tour that was not provided by Princess, to see the waterfalls, a chocolate factory, copper museum and really great cathedral.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We got our bags picked up the night before, and the next morning was well organized for getting off the ship and finding our bags, and getting to our bus to go to the airport.

Thanks for your review. I wondered how nice this cruise is. We are sold on Princess and the Medallion. The northeast sounds like a good cruise. Glad you enjoyed it.

So glad you had a good time. Many people comment on this being an old ship with issues, but you seemed to like it!!
