The Caribbean Princess ship is old and needs remodeled or retired. The entertainment was suboptimal. The food was so-so. The activities on the ship were not good either. The overall itinerary was disappointing.
Embarkation

It was fine. The people helping were pleasant and cheerful.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The buffet was usually good and had a lot of variety. The dining room food and experience was quite disappointing. The food was suboptimal and it took nearly 1.5 hours whenever we ate there. For this reason, we only chose to eat in the dining room a few times.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
The ship is old and there is very little to do on it. Very disappointing.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
We have been on 15+ cruises over the years, and this was the worst entertainment we have ever experienced while cruising.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
I do not have young children to comment on this; however, what I saw for activities for children, it appeared to be very disappointing.
Service and Staff

Ship Quality
1 out of 5
The ship is old and needs a remodel of almost everything. Very disappointing.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The room steward did a fine job cleaning. The room is old and needs repairs. The odor in the bathroom is disgusting and remained throughout the entire 10 days of our cruise. The balcony is rusted, paint stains, and completely covered in metal. This was very disappointing as we paid extra for a balcony that we could see out from when going through the canal. The balcony was unusable because you couldn't see out of it. It was a complete waste of money.
Ship tip
If you have an option to travel on a different ship, I would highly recommend it. We have sailed on Princess several times and have been quite pleased; however, this ship was a big disappointment.
What do you mean your balcony was covered in metal … like are you saying your balcony was completely enclosed and you could not see outside or the water at all ??
