Review summary

The musician key bord player he discriminated me with status which he call “elite” people only . I was given dirty look by him . this was my first time cruise I didn’t have “elite” status, I believe you shouldn’t discriminate me because you don’t know my status . I am 45 years old and retired , I am ready to see my world , and here people telling me that I am not good enough to be in certain place because I am not “elite “ people ,so make me feel like I am lower class people us he categorized me... I am very sad , we had 5 people that I spend a lot of money on this trip and it was not good enough for your cruise. I never felt this much sadness in my heart and all the heart work i have done in the society become nothing . Just because other people cruise more then I did , it doesn’t make them any better people “elite “ .. what ever . Sad sad sad ... all I want was have good time but this trip turn on to be nightmare.

I gotta say, when you added: "just because other people cruise more than me", it became pretty clear you knew what was going on. You can go just about everywhere on those ships and not find any class restriction whatsoever, but you got booted out of an elite level program and let it ruin your whole trip.

So sorry.. There are sadly rude people in this world.. Hopefully your next vacation will leave you with happy thoughts! Don't let one person ruin your trip!

Funboomer is right! The elite passengers with Princess Cruises have completed at least 15 previous cruises or 150 cruise days. It's part of their loyalty program (blue-gold-ruby-platinum-elite) and with each level of loyalty you gain certain perks. I remember being a gold member and was treated just like an elite member but just didn't get the same perks.

Are you sure that wasn't a lounge for elite status members that have sailed on Princess many times and have worked their way up the ladder on their membership. All cruiselines have an area just for the passengers that have sailed many times on their cruiseline and have earned elite status. It has nothing to do with whether you are good enough or not. It has to do with passengers that have been loyal to that cruiseline and have earned elite status because of all the cruises they have taken with that cruiseline. If you sign up for membership for that cruiseline, everytime you sail you earn points.

Don't let his bad attitude get you down, people should not be labeled or categorised unfairly, shame on the cruise line for doing so
