Used the service where your luggage is sent ahead, worked out great and our luggage was there when we got off the plane at home airport. Didn't have to deal with luggage and got off ship and sailed through customs.
Embarkation

Walked right on around noon and room was ready.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Dining room menu really scaled back and quality of food most of the time poor. Very few choices. Buffet was so bad we ended up eating pizza most days.
Onboard Activities

Entertainment
1 out of 5
Ships singers and dancers were worst that I've ever seen, singers were terrible. The comedian however excellent, repeated as well as the piano player.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Room steward excellent, waiters never addressed us by name until last night. Worse casino staff, rude, not engaging, never spoke to you, no energy at the tables. Never welcoming.

Ship tip
Cut backs from previous cruise on the same ship so be prepared.
Got a taxi to go to walled city and for a total of $15 pp the driver did a tour. The only problem with Cartesian was the vendors, they were constantly in your face and don't take no for an answer. The taxi driver tour guide was excellent, took me to the best jeweler for emeralds, took us to a open air restaurant in middle of old city where we could have lunch. Excellent and far cheaper than booking thru Princess. A major disappointment is we were only there 4 hours.
Went thru old locks on Island Princess about 5 yrs ago, excellent, narrator was a phD who wrote a book about the Canal. This time a Princess employee who was as dumb as a rock and knew nothing about the history of the Canal. She read script and was absolutely awful. I've entered a formal complaint as this was the focal point and reason for the cruise and us spending $5000!
Tour we took was too long and kind of boring. At the museum in Old Town our guides told us to go on our own, while other tour guides were explains and giving history of the exhibits.
Hell, Turtle Farm and Stingray. Hell was a disappointment as took us to a "junk store while the store next door is the one with the post office ( where we have been before). Turtle Farm, we were rushed through and couldn't spend ant time. The saving grace was the stingray encounter
