Review summary

I chose this cruise for the itinerary including the Panama Canal, and I'm really glad I did. It was our first Princess Cruise, and I'd consider Princess again. The average age of cruisers was considerably older than other cruises we've been on, but the time of year, length of cruise, and cost affects that. The anytime dining schedule needs work.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Lines were longer than we normally experience on a cruise, but they moved quickly and the staff was friendly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We enjoyed anytime dining, and we were surprised at the wait times if we wanted to eat between 5:30 or 7 or so. Food was good. Loved the hotdog/ hamburger/ fries place! Buffet had good continuous hours during the day, which is better than some other cruise lines.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We participated in a lot of the activities planned by cruise staff and appreciated the options and their enthusiasm.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We liked the shows with the ship singers and dancers. The magicians and comedians were also good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We liked the staff. Best cruise director and team of any cruise we've been on. Great enthusiasm for the entire cruise. Our room steward Sunny was friendly and efficient.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We LOVED the location and layout of this room. Having the separate closet area and infinity mirrors above the bed and on the opposite wall made the room feel larger. Plus being right next to the aft pool made it quick to get outside. The soft beds and pillows were a plus too.

Ship tip

It's a good, typical cruise experience with some of the friendliest fellow cruisers of any ship we've been on.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Just for boarding

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
We only went to the shops right near the port, which was clean and safe. Free wifi.

Cartagena, Colombia

4 out of 5
We did a city tour and there was not enough time in port to see much.

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

5 out of 5
We did the full Panama Canal experience and felt it was money well spent to go through locks in a smaller boat. Well organized, but a long day.

Colon, Panama Did not visit port

Our excursion ended when it was time to leave.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

3 out of 5
I liked the shops and souvenirs right by the port, but I didn't feel safe in the community. My husband loved being in a 'normal' town though.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Upscale island. Did an island tour that was a good overview. Didn't realize we'd go to Hell on this trip. :)

Disembarkation

Amazing. We took our own luggage off, so this was fast and efficient.

Agree with martey , a list previous cruises would be nice, we love princess but enjoy seeing what others say about other lines

It would be helpful if you listed your cruise in your profile so that others can see which trip you enjoyed so much. Princess was our first 2 cruises and we love cruising with them. Just like anything in life, there are pros and cons. 😎🛳️🏖️🍻🍔🍟📷🏝️
