Review summary
We have not cruised with Princress since 2009 but noticed some changes. We did feel the food in the anytiime dining room was very good. And the service was also great. Didn't think the buffet was as good as others. Do not like everything being close at 11pm. Used to like to go up to buffet after late show and have something lite to eat with a cup of tea.. What happened to the night where they fix all the food or desserts an they have the ice an butter sculptures . That was alway a special and fun night. Thought the animals made out of towels on your pillow at night was a special thing also, but they do not do it anymore.Did not have many activities that were fun to do. Even the fruit carving wasn't much and they didn't leave it out long for people to see .It seems so many of the activities are about selling jewelry or other products like good feet. Also this ship had a strange odor about mid ship. We took my brother and his wife on this cruise and had bragged about how well we liked cruising with Princess. It seems you have cut back on quality and have made it more about trying to sell things., Not sure we will cruise princess in the future.

Ship tip
For anytime dining had a terrible time getting through on phone to reserve a time. Would be on hold so long would just have to give up. Tried in morning and several other times but was never able to get through. Sever Dennis in Anytime dining Island room was excellent. So fast and good.
Ports of call
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

I guess to each their own, but we sailed on the CP this past April and had a GREAT time. The last time we had sailed with Princess was about 14 years ago and were thrilled to back with them again since we also had a great time on the Grand back then. On the CP, there was always something going on in the atrium and for us, just being at sea was entertainment within itself. I agree with your thoughts on the buffet and main diningroom. As corallady9 stated, the Cafe is open 24/7 and serves tea and pastries yet don't forget you always had room service as an option as well. The crew on Princess are great as well. Smiling, saying good day and stepping aside in the hallways are some of the things I haven't seen on the past 11 cruises we have been on. Seems you should have read your daily Princess Patter a little closer. The Patter gives you details of the amenities on the ship and their availability.
