Review summary

New ship 2004. Well maintained. Very big with many activities and past times available. 24-hour eats at buffet. Any time or scheduled dining. Many shore excursions.

Ports of call

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Clean and well laid out for a lot of people, but not crowded. Lunch was served from 11-1, but our line was closed at 12:45 (we were the last) because the crew said they needed to get back on the ship. This left a couple of dozen passengers w/out lunch. Not good. Local merchants behind a fence require cruise card (& ID supposedly) to enter the Bahamas and then come back through the gate.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

1 out of 5
Ocho Rios is a low class 3rd world ghetto. Drug pushers everywhere, beggars, scam artists. Dirty. No real deals for tourists. Heard the most popular attraction, Dunn's River Falls, was overcrowded w/ 2 ships in port. Some other excursions, staying out of downtown, were OK, including the jungle canopy zip line tour we did, and apparently the dolphins. Next time I go I will just play golf at the Sandals and stay away from everything else. Nasty.
Don't Miss: Staying on the ship and enjoying a relaxing day or participating in activities?

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Clean, lots of shopping. Decent prices. Rain @ midday. Sport Fishing was a little slow--do not go on a boat with more than 4 (we had 6). Only the first three got to touch a rod in 4 hours. Landed a 65-lb dorado, a small barracuda and a 75 lb. white marlin. Fun to see, but disappointing for those of us who paid $160 and didn't fish at all.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Clean, friendly, developed. Good jewelry bargains. Early June had 12-3 PM typical rainy season rain. Bring an umbrella.
Don't Miss: The original Sting Ray City

Pros: Great service from attentive crew, good boarding & disembark, very good amenities

Cons: $10/pp/per day added gratuity, on top of other automatic gratuities. Required visit in person @ desk to adjust. Dining room service generally slow.
