Review summary

Visited nice places , awful food onboard, very packed even tho it was 80% full . Won’t be going with P&O for a while .

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Lady behind desk was lovely, then got old lady who was shouting at everyone and very rude .

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Repetitive menu , if you like steak and salmon then you will be ok. Children’s menu very poor (3 chicken nuggets and 10 chips ) really !!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Archery was absolutely brilliant and we enjoyed it so much that I’m looking to buy a set . Pools were too small, and only 2 hot tubs.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The magic show was ok , £35 to see Ray Quinn and £25 to see Hayley Tammaden , you shouldn’t have to pay to see d class celebs.

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
Very disappointed, they give you times when your children can go , only 2 hours at a time , but staff were nice .

Service and Staff

2 out of 5

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship seemed very dark. When covid started spreading out of their control, you then saw staff cleaning hand rails. No sheet change, which you normally get on a 2 week cruise. Room only serviced in the morning, so bins only emptied once a day . Staff were not overly friendly and definitely not their usual happy selves.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Balcony cabin for 4 , was very small , when you have sofa bed and upper berth down you can’t access your balcony or fridge. We climbed through, hitting our heads numerous times. If I needed to get my daughters medication out of fridge I had to lift and hold sofa bed , which was not light . Also films on tv were stopping all the time , when ppl catch covid on the boat there is not much they can do , the least you expect is to watch a film without glitches.

Ship tip

Don’t bother

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Absolutely love Barcelona, and the fact we were overnight was great . Took a local sightseeing bus , went everywhere, well worth the money, took over 2 hours .

Valencia, Spain

2 out of 5
Got dumped off shuttle bus in middle of nowhere , no maps , wandered around but not overly nice , locals were friendly.

Southampton (London), England

3 out of 5
Lady on check in was lovely, but then next lady was rude and telling people to shut up and sit down - very rude.

Cadiz (Spain)

5 out of 5
Love love love Cadiz , beautiful place , little market with hand made jewellery for sale . The old church is beautiful and they have added an old fashioned carousel, which was only €3 .

La Coruna, Spain

4 out of 5
Beautiful as always .

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
As usual quick and easy . But must admit couldn’t wait to get off.

So glad Britannia has upped its game for your cruise , we have booked next year with princess cruises.

Currently on board Britannia now and can't fault them! Cabin steward cleans and tidies our cabin twice a day, sheet changes every 3-4 days and fresh towels. Restaurant food isn't as varied as I remember but it's still lovely food and the buffet is great too.

Our sheets were definately changed at least once during a two week cruise, possibly more but I wasn't really paying that much attention!

Thanks for sharing your cruise with us

Is that correct about the sheet change, thats outrageous, and disgusting for a 2 week cruise.
