Review summary

Overall a good holiday , lovely ship , clean ,good food ,good dining & cabin service.

Not so impressed with the evening entertainment , only 3 production shows ,which for 15 nights wasn't enough. A lot of individual performers were fair but not as good as I've experienced on other ships.

Evening activities seemed to clash with late dining , so we missed quiet a lot of the quizzes.

Gengeral pool staff uninterested .lots of glasses , towels ,plates left lying about into the evening around the pool area, very untidy .

Bought a soft drinks package ,only a choice of 4 drinks ,tonic, lemonade ,coke & Diet Coke.Unable  to get Tonic at certain bars , if you purchase a drinks package you should be able to get all drinks at all the bars.

Soot on the chairs & deck areas at the back of the ship, resulting in dirty clothes that had to have special cleaning as a general wash wouldn't remove the marks.

Reception advised us to give to the cabin steward ,who would have the items cleaned with no charge.

Never say never , Britannia is a lovely ship ,but I do think something's need attention.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Good selection in main dining room for breakfast & dinner. Afternoon tea very nice experience. Food in buffet , always hot ,well presented & nice selection.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I think most of the activities for the more mature traveler. Didn't see much of the entertainment team.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Not as many shows as expected ,individual performers fair , Sam Bailey & the comedian exceptional. Tribute bands very good but why they were in the Live Lounge? As not enough space ,would of been better in the theatre.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiters in the Orietntal restaurant were excellent, as was our cabin steward. Friendly staff at Costa coffee .staff in the pool bars were generally uninterested ,with a take it or leave it attitude. Pool staff would clear away glasses ( eventually) but not wipe down tables.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
In General a nice ship, however the rear of the ship on decks 16 &17 were very mucky with soot on a lot of the chair / sunbeds. Resulting on laundry being done free of charge .Decks often left dirty for days. Tables in pool areas not cleaned regularly.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Good size for inside, plenty of storage & very clean.

Ship tip

Make sure the chairs at the back of the ship are clean otherwise you'll ruin your clothes.
