It was a great trip. Each port was special and we have some amazing photos. We’re glad we came in early to explore some Italian cities we haven’t been too before. We’re glad we have an extra day before we go home as the port we disembarked on was changed 48 hrs prior to arriving

We ported out of Ravenna. Came in 2 days early. Had an amazing time in this city. Tried to get a taxi around 230pm to get to ship and found it extremely hard to call the taxi or flag one down. Started to panic as the port is about 8 miles from
The city center. A local told us to go to the train station and they readily have taxis coming and going. If we didn’t get that info I don’t know what we would have done to get to ship.

Both dining and buffet had a nice array of options. The Buffet dining area is smaller compared to other ships and a lot of times we had to take our food to go or go find seating else where like on pool deck or back to our room

Great ship with lots to do. This is our 7th cruise on Royal… and this is the first time I noticed dishes EVERYWHERE. In the hallways by rooms for 1-2 days at a time complete with old food and beverage. The pool deck was always a mess it was like they only cleaned at the end of night. Glasses and snacks everywhere.

Everything by we needed. Comfortable bed. The pillows were very stiff. Rafael our attendant was AMAZING
Ship tip
Make reservations for dinner early. The line for no reservations for dining each night was long. Go to the 5th floor observation deck in front when entering ports. Amazing views
If you are able make the climb up to the church above the city. Amazing views. They usually tinder to this port. Wait in line super early to get a tinder ticket. We got off within an Hr of porting some people had to wait 3 hrs due to lines and waits. They only use 2 tinders at a time
We did the Parthenon excursion. That was awesome. Really enjoyed it. We only had 1 hour to explore that area and that was due to the tours pace. The tour guide made several bathroom stops and made us all wait. We only had 30 mins in the plaka and that was because we ended up just leaving the group. we waited 45mins past the original meeting/departing time for 2 late joiners. That was frustrating for the entire group
Had the most fun of the trip here. The streets are like the photos. You have to go to Little Venice and climb to the windmills. Behind the windmills there is a beach with amazing views
This port was our actual anniversary. We rented an electric boat and took it around the Lagoon. Had great seafood waterside and enjoyed walking thru their square. It was very nice and clean
Due to a storm the ship had to port aprx 6 hrs away from Ravenna in a cargo port in Trieste. They had everyone rebook travel accommodations and they are supposed to reimburse us. We had an air bnb in Rome for a night but due to change of trains we won’t make it to the Airbnb until 10pm and with a flight at 5am we canceled it. Royal refused to reimburse us for that Airbnb and I didn’t think that was right
