The Brilliance is a great little ship with a lot of fun things to do. This itinerary was good. I would think twice about getting off of the ship if you have to tender into Cozumel.

Very smooth.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
I don't think I had anything bad during the whole cruise. The dining and bar staff were all wonderful.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We mostly stayed poolside, but my 7 year old frequently requested to go to the kids club. She had a great time there. We did do some minigolf one day and had fun.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
I felt like some of the sound quality was off, but the performers themselves were great. The bands were also talented.
Children's Programs

She loved it! She requested to go at least once a day
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I have never received bad service on a RCI ship. Everyone on the Brilliance was very nice and willing to help whenever possible.
Ship Quality

Everything was very clean and well maintained. Our last cruise was on the Oasis, so the Brilliance was much easier to navigate and faster to get around.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had an interior stateroom, so of course it was small, but it was decent for the three of us. The bed was comfortable and the room was always clean.
We did not do an excursion. I think we would have enjoyed the port more if we had. The little area where you can walk around is full of people trying to get you into their shops, onto their tours, or to braid your hair. I know that they are trying to make a living, but it was just too much.
We had to be tendered in because of how many ships were in port that day and that was a nightmare. It took us an hour and a half to get from the ship to the pier on the tender. We were two minutes from the pier, so I don't know what was going on. Another tender boat actually collided with the ship on a return journey. But, that aside, Cozumel was beautiful with plenty to do. We spent the day at a resort and lounged on the beach, did some snorkeling, and ate some delicious food.
All the other ports need to take a tender lesson from Grand Cayman. We were on the tender and at the pier before we knew it. Grand Cayman is full of friendly people and beautiful beaches. We spent the afternoon at Royal Palms resort.
We chose to carry off our luggage because we needed to hit the road as soon as possible. The line wrapped around the ship and was extremely disorganized. Getting through customs was very easy.
