Review summary

I was skeptical about a transatlantic but will definitely take one again. While there were many elderly passengers, the upside was only 7 children onboard so definitely a plus. The other pleasant surprise was the excellent entertainment. We didn’t miss a single show. Also there was a daily lecture on Forensic science by James Adcock that we attended and enjoyed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good most meals. A few evenings in the main dining room the menu was repetitive and didn’t offer anything that appealed to my tastes.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
They did a good job with activities throughout out 15 days. I was worried that the 7 days at sea would be boring but that wasn’t the case at all.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Top notch entertainment! Jimmy Hopper and Mari-Jess were the best and even appeared a second time at a matinee two of the days at sea.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was cordial and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
This isn’t a new ship but has been well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was roomy and out steward kept it very neat and clean. I was pleasantly surprised that we had plenty of space for clothes and personal items for the entire trip. And we had a great seating area in addition to our balcony.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

We went several days earlier to have time to see this beautiful city. We loved the sights here and enjoyed the ease of getting around (metro was excellent).

Cartagena, Spain

We visited the white houses at the village on the hill. This was very memorable.

We took a Cruise Only excursion that was a Jeep tour. Being able to go off road enabled us to see some spectacular sites from the mountains including a hang glider taking off to sail down into the valley below. We saw both the blue lake and the green lake from a wonderful mountaintop vantage point. Highly recommend!

Tampa, Florida Did not visit port

It was our end point and we left for home. It is a beautiful city and worth visiting.
