Overall we enjoyed our first cruise. It was unfortunate that my sister had a torn meniscus, so it kind of dictated what we could do on the cruise. We will have to try another one when she is more able-bodied. We liked Brilliance of the Seas. Our staff waiting on us were amazing. Food and drinks were wonderful. Can't wait to sail again.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
It would have been nice if there was an expedited line for people with disabilities. My sister could barely walk and had a cane. It took probably a half hour to get through the embarkation process, and there was only one chair to sit in once we were three-quarters of the way through.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Loved the evening meals in the dining room. The food was five-star quality. The food in the Windjammer buffet tended to be the same each day, but it was still good and there was a great variety. My only complaint was it would be nice if there were other decks that you could get a snack on during the day or your beverage. Even if you just wanted a soda, you still had to go to a bar to get it, unless I missed something.

Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our nightly waiter, Colvin, was exceptional. He escorted my disabled sister out every night after dinner. He then noticed when we were at breakfast and would come over and assist her after breakfast. Our cabin steward was equally as kind and very attentive to our needs. My reason for four stars was during the disembarkation, it seemed as if the staff working during that time were kind of rude and basically just wanted you off the ship. I had some problems with my sister and her disability, and they were not very friendly about it.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
I thought the main areas were well cared for and clean. The hallway carpeting to the staterooms seemed a little dirty and dated. Also there was a "poopy" smell when you would walk down the hallway, however, I'm told this is common on cruise ships?
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Loved our cabin and all of the little storage areas for all of our stuff. Also loved having a balcony. Would definitely book a balcony room again.
Ship tip
If you can afford a balcony room and love being outside, definitely book a room with a balcony.
My reason for only four stars is as I mentioned before, the staff was pretty much done with us as customers. They just wanted you off the ship. Also there should be a designated time for people who are taking their own luggage off the ship. It seemed as if we were tripping over their luggage.
