Review summary

it would have been nice if we were able to use the pool - crowded with kids and the whirlpools loaded with kids the entire time even up to midnight while we watched a movie

Embarkation

2 out of 5
we waited over 45 minutes for a wheelchair - it was on our reservation - approx 200 people went in front of us - when we finally did get to the assistance line to check in, the line to take the pictures was so long, we just went right on up to fight the other barrage of people - too many people boarding at once

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
food in dining room blah food in AZUMI - the japanese/chinese sushi joint - also BLAH - and overpriced - $24 for a few tiny bites of steak and a very small piece of lobster the drinks were not made with the best alcohol unless you asked for it - especially in the drink of the day which one would not think they would be using inferior liquor. The wait for drinks - even though there were not many people drinking on this cruise at the bars - was slow because the bartenders were sooooo slow. this ship and cruise was loaded with kids and a few seniors and mostly families crying babies also pool very small - not enough chairs for all to sit at pool.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
the art auction is the same on all the ships - these people were particularly pushy the people in the shops do not tell you that you can only bring back one carton of cigs duty free - they push you to buy 4 cartons for $92 which is a steal for us NYers - usually $12/pack - but still they could have mentioned it.

Casino Royale

3 out of 5

casino same as others - win on first night and that's about it

Entertainment

3 out of 5
same stuff on all cruises the comedian was horrible - so embarrasing for him - no one was laughing the jokes by the cruise director were much funnier

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
tons of stuff for the kids to do

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
our cabin steward dewi was very good throughout the cruise and we showed our generosity

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
ship's old and not big enough for 2300 people

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
not a bad cabin but for the price it should have been bigger

Ship tip

don't go on this ship - pick something else

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

4 out of 5
nicer to leave from tampa than FLL or MIA because of the smaller size - not as much confusion

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
really liked Mr. Sancho's resort - highly recommend - remember to bring towels from ship

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
had to wait again for 45 min for a wheelchair, but once it came, all was good

I went last week and the times I walked thru there it wasn't crowded. Sorry you had a bad experience.

Doesn’t Brilliance of the Seas have an adult pool? No one under 16 is allowed
