Buenos Aires is a fantastic city with interesting neighborhoods and activities like tango dinners. Montevideo and Punta del Este are both interesting and walkable. There is a small, private "Museum of the Andes" in Montevideo that commemorates the 1972 plane crash of the Uruguayan Rugby Team that is very interesting. Rio de Janeiro is another story. We were there during Carnival so it was very crowded. The traffic was often at a standstill for hours due to throngs of people crowding the streets. Two of our tours were canceled with no prior notification, so we had to rely on Uber to get to the main sites. Carnival is definitely not a time to see the major city attractions as there are thousands of people waiting in line for these. The Sambadrome parades are a must with their colorful, intricate dance troops and floats, but be prepared for uncomfortable concrete bleachers, crowded conditions, and lots of body odor. Take your own water, snacks, and toilet paper.

Best cruise we have been on mainly because of the ports. Like the small ship and the staff are extremely friendly and always wanting to help.

Not meeting expectation by eliang

Ship: Azamara Quest

Overall the ship is a disappointment. Old, tired ship and lacking quality in food and entertainment, despite the trying effort of the staff.

This Perfect cruise for seeing the best Greek Islands and More by durhamb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest

This was the perfect cruise for seeing the best Greek island stops along with Ephesus in Turkey with the shortest amount of cruise days. Azamara is the best with the culturally immersive experiences and the smaller, more intimate all-inclusive cruising experience. I fully recommend this cruise as an excellent choice!

Wonderful itinerary in the Mediterranean by kejee28

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We booked this cruise because it visited so many of the islands in the Mediterranean that we wanted to visit in just one trip. This was our 3rd cruise with Azamara and we brought along 6 friends. Everyone loved the ship, the food, the staff and the itinerary. We’ll definitely cruise with them again!

Back home again on Azamara 😎 by Galway2k

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

This was my 5th Azamara cruise. I wouldn’t mind doing another 5 more! Compared to pre Covid, biggest problem was difficulty in booking shore excursions once on board. I have not had problem in the past and wait lists always cleared. We could not get a shore excursion in Oban and there seemed to be little info about port or possible independent activities prior to arriving. Service was excellent as was food. It did seem like they were trying to get things back together again since restarting up after Covid.

Perfect for those who have not visited Norway before. by aldoreti

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Excellent cruise, all activities, personnel and organization on board was first rate. However, the Azamara home office is of no help, they give the wrong answers, they are disrespectful and there is a clear disconnect between the home office and the crew on the ship. Bad new ownership of Azamara!

Azamara Baltic cruise by lindakpowell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

We love Azamara and highly recommend them. With only 200 people on our latest cruise, the service was impeccable. There are usually 660 people, and this is always great. The staff are amazing.

Enjoyable, fast paced Mediterranean introduction by davelevis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We had a good time and will look at Azamara again when looking at specific destinations. The longer port times allow for more time for on shore activities and is a nice feature. The pace of travel and back to back to back ports must be considered and is balanced with lack of options available on ship.

Great Cruise Terrible Travel Agency by DCFC302

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Ship and cruise were great. Barcelona Airport was terrible, in and outbound. Luxury Only was unresponsive. Choice Air Doubled booked our return flights, one set from Barcelona to New York to New Orleans, the second set from Barcelona to Miami to New Orleans. signage at Phil airport was poor. Had to re-screen between flights.

Great Cruise! by Cathjasp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

We have taken 5 Princess cruises (3500+ guests plus crew) and after taking this cruise with the Azamara Quest, I am hooked on small ships! I particularly liked the captain with his honesty and transparency in this period of Covid. I have a credit on a Viking cruise, but after I have used it, I will become an Azamara loyalist! Such personalized, friendly service.

Little disappointing. Could go on the islands and couldn't even go to about 1/2. by saildgn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

Miami is NOT the port to leave from. They do not have the procedure for embarking or disembarking figured out. The Ship was nice, rooms nice, service was very good. The food varied depending on where you went. The Spa and Spa deck was good as well as the pool area. The smoking sections was pleasant. Entertainment was fair. The lecture was more of a promo event.

I was disappointed with the cruise. by DoctorR

All in all value for money is very low. I hope in the future Azamara comes back to what it was before.

For the marketing hype and the value for the money, not sure I will repeat soon but not off my options list completely.

Average cruise to interesting part of the world. by Humptydumpty

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Liked the itinerary, with the exception of the Kenya stop being canceled. Security concerns were cited, but the ship sent overnight tours to Kenya anyway. Organization was not good. Had problems with my wife's initial registration on the ship. Numerous changes in instructions regarding visas and vaccinations for Tanzania. Excellent service, but I did not think the food was consistently good. Entertainment OK for a ship this size.

Awesome Asian Cruise by CP50

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Awesome cruise with so much history. The food was good, as was the service. Our cabin was beautiful and our attendants took very good care of us. Crew and staff appeared to be very passenger centered and went the extra mile to make sure everything was fine. Also, I really enjoyed the overnights in several port.
