Aside from a ship that wasn't ready to sail, the clientele were awful. Azamara attracts a very similar dynamic. All we heard was middle aged Caucasians bragging about how much money they had, how many Azamara cruises they had been on or how many properties they had. Awful.
We actually met a few nice normal people but 80% were top trump cruisers.
Azamaras response to our terrible first cruise with them was the biggest disappointment of all. Will never cruise with this company again.
Embarkation

Chaos caused by zero communication about the port embarkation change. Sent twenty emails with a reply. Call and put on hold for 40 mins from Spain costing a fortune to be given the wrong information. The two hour coach journey was three hours without a stop Embarkation from a tent wasn't what we thought it would be.

The food was great not as wow as everyone makes out but very good. Drinks were top draw.

Do not go on Azamara for activities unless your 80 years old. Quizzes and bingo were about the strength of it.
Entertainment

Eric the CD was very good. Everything else was cringe worthy 70's cruise ship. The house band murdered every tune and the singing and dancing by the crew was so poor it wasn't worth watching. The dueling violins was a decent show.
Service and Staff

Staff where the saviour, very professional and always had time for you. If only the rest of the cruise was at the same level.
Ship Quality

Onward was not ready to sail. Builders dirt visible everywhere even in the atrium. The public toilets were not functioning properly. You could not see through the windows in Discoveries or Prime C. Sadly the response and reaction from Azamara was worse than the problem.
Cabin / Stateroom

Arrived to a stateroom without a settee. Asked the steward who returned with a single plastic chair. Plumbing problems that needed attention. No hot water on White Night causing us to miss the event. No A/C on the last night resulting in no sleep.
T.V Never worked while in port.
Do in short if this is five star god help Azamara as they are in serious denial.
Ship tip
Before you part with your money, look at real five star experience's Seaborne, Oceania, Haven NCL, Captains club Celebrity. Don't want your money on a company who are three star with great service.
Santorini is just beautiful. Way to many people but beautiful anyway. Find a bar with a view normally at the end of the tourist run and have a beer and absorb the view..
Azamara doesn’t control who boards their ships! I wouldn’t go on Seabourn or Regent or SA if you don’t want to hear how much money people have or how many cruises one has been on! Unfortunately tRumpers are everywhere!
