Review summary

Very poor quality entertainment often repeated. Food left out for the day before served to you and Service can take 30 to 40 minutes in between starters and mains and that’s if you can even get a booking in a restaurant as it only has a virtual booking system which opens at 6:30 mean, meaning that you have to start at your phone and try and join a virtual Queue

We were on Arvia in July/August at peak holiday time. While I agree that the cabins could have been cleaner, we saw staff constantly cleaning in public areas. The staff were great, in fact, even when faced with particularly rude guests, but there didn't appear to be enough of them for the amount of guests. I'm a vegetarian, and I was absolutely spoilt for choice - including Green &Co which was fantastic. Admittedly, there was a surcharge, but we went three times as it was so good (husband is a fully signed up carnivore and really enjoyed the food.) There was always an option at The Quays, especially for breakfast, and the mdr was fab. We didn't have a problem with wait times, and although the virtual queuing system was a pain, it wasn't that bad to be honest. We often just went to the venue itself and got a sleeper with no issues. We don't usually bother with the entertainment (two minutes of 'Robbie Williams ' was enough) and have always found the various 'Pulse' bands to be fairly bad - Azura's was a particular low point - but each to their own. I will say that the choice of films at the cinema and in cabins was pretty awful, likewise there was only one radio station in the cabin which was on a loop. Embarkation/disembarkation were very smooth with very little waiting time. All in all it was an OK cruise, but we're unlikely to use that ship again as its just too big and busy.

Hard to believe you have been on the same ship as us ! We are regular cruisers and left Arvia in Nov and had a wonderful experience all except sunbed hoggers the cruise was amazing, to beat the virtual que for dining pay the select price when booking and choose freedom dining.

Really sorry to hear of your poor experience. We cruise with P& O alot but never been on the Arvia. Iona the sister ship is lovely. Don't let it put you off trying another ship in the fleet. From personal experience, I'd never cruise again with TUI !

P&O cruise lines ain’t the greatest cruise line in town Go with another cruise line next time I guarantee you will have a much better experience Try carnival or royal Caribbean Norwegian there are so many better ones than P&O Believe me
