Review summary

My favorite thing on board the ship with meeting new people as we got to meet some very nice people that we exchange numbers with and talk to you after the cruise is a great experience having a place where you can meet all these new people and all these diverse people

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy, never stopped walking into the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Got a little redundant and the menus got reused In the coastal kitchen but the quality was great.

Solarium Bistro

2 out of 5

Did not enjoy the kids running around at breakfast times as it is supposed to be 16+ and the crew members were not enforcing that rule - food was the same as the windjammer but not that bad. 2/5 stars because there was almost 6 small toddlers and kids obviously not 16 and not a huge selection leads me to this specific rating.

Jamie's Italian

3 out of 5

Standard food that you can get off ship - if you don’t have the ultimate dining package there is really no point to go to Jamie’s.

Wonderland

4 out of 5

The waiter recommended appetizers that were slightly gross that we felt, and we’ve been on the harmony of the seas which recommended way better items for the appetizers so we believe that a choice of appetizers leads to a loss of one star for my review

Windjammer Marketplace

3 out of 5

Breakfast had consistent food options that were decently made although I would prefer the food to be slightly warmer because when I would get to my table when you get a little cold, which I did not enjoy. Some of the theme dinners were absolutely terrible. For example, the Chinese themed dinner almost had an Indian field to it which when I went for the Chinese theme as expecting Chinese food and there wasn’t much good Chinese food so I believe that you should definitely only go on teams that you know are going to be at the Windjammer at that specific time. But going for a quick snack was also a great idea for the Windjammer because it was very quick and easy to grab food and get out and I enjoyed the centralized location of the Coca-Cola freestyle machines at the Windjammer that made the process seamless for getting the Coke cups.

Seaplex Doghouse

Ran out of some ingredients but a quick easy snack was nice

Izumi

Great food and service!!!

Coastal Kitchen

4 out of 5

Good food overall, my waiter was also really nice - don’t enjoy the talk every single night about doing to survey and how we must give him a 10.

Chops Grille

The Café@TWO70

Food was good - staff was slightly rude at times

Boleros

Enjoyed the karaoke

Bionic Bar

On this specific sailing, they had only a short list of drinks for the holiday season and I was not seeing all the drinks from other sailings - did not recommend

Entertainment

The Royal Theater

2 out of 5

Current show called the gift was a pretty terrible show put together they were trying to incorporate too much 21st century music into a show that pretty much took place in the early 20th century so I believe the train to incorporate different music taste from different centuries, is not a good idea. In some of the movie was a little hard to follow like at one point, but the character slipped into a second dimension in a dragon, came out of nowhere when the whole main idea of the story was supposed to be reuniting a Family that have been separated by the loss of the mother, so I believe that the show specifically the storyline that they were trying to push wasn’t interesting and didn’t have a good storyline to follow.

Solarium

4 out of 5

Great venue for hanging out with your friends. I’m very happy that they stayed open till midnight because many of the people that we would hang out with would go into the chairs with and we would sit up until the time they close, it was very nice. The only reason why I gave it four out of five stars because the Staff wouldn’t enforce the rules of 16+ so sometimes or a lot of times there wouldbe small kids running around and I found that annoying for a place where there was only supposed to be adults.

Concierge Club

5 out of 5

HIGHLY recommend coming during the day when the concierge was not around, because the place was generally empty. The club covered the whole aft part of the ship so it has an incredible view with chairs, and generally there was food sitting out, so it was a just a great place to have a quiet seat, and there’s nobody ever there.

Music Hall

Good activities

Two70

5 out of 5

Cool innovations for the show

Library

5 out of 5

Great space where nobody went

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
Teens really enjoyed meeting others in the separate areas

The Living Room

4 out of 5

The living room was a great venue on the first day of the cruise because it allowed people to meet each other but after the first day, it got boring because they wouldn’t do anything in the hours open were very minimal, so it was better for the teens to find their friends on the first day and then Meet up with their friends at different venues throughout the remainder of the cruise

Fuel Teen Disco

3 out of 5

Staff generally did not care what was going on in this venue, and the music was kind of lame at times the children told me, but they said it was a good place to re-meet with their friends and then they would go off and do something else at a different area

Cabin / Stateroom

Extremely well put together cabin. We all enjoyed the amenities I offered, and we enjoyed the large balcony with the chairs that made a great view for sailing away. highly recommend.

Ship tip

At least one or two days stay up late at night till almost 12 or 1 AM because nobody was out and some of the venues were still open and it was a great experience to walk around the ship when nobody was out because you got to see what the ship look like you could enjoy the art at those times when it was a little hard to with the hustle and bustle of the ship when the Other people were running about

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

The cruise lines almost works together to make sure that we went through some bottlenecks that tried to get vendors to force separate products down your throats, and to exit the pier you had to go through a very long line of people who are trying to sell you a short excursions when you got off in such a very irritating experience as people would stop midway some of the workers would like Tap on your shoulder or try to get you to come over and they were just be overall sour when you were saying no. Destroy market located near the pier was extremely disgusting in the fact that if you would look at a certain product at one of the stands, the workers will try to make you buy it, and they would say some pretty backhanded things to you when you wouldn’t, and it was overall like a trap and going to the straw market

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Getting off the ship involved very excessively long hefty lines that were not marked clearly and it wavered around the whole fifth deck which was a little annoying and once we actually disembarked, there was no taxis waiting outside and we had to wait in the 18° weather of New York, which made for an unhappy experience
