Review summary

The weather wasn't great and 2 ports of call were canceled due to high winds. The ship is nice but the list of activities of things to do on the ship are the same as in an older ship. The Seaplex is a nice change, however the schedule is cramped as the space is used for sports, bumper cars, roller skating. So you have to wait in long lines to enjoy bumper cars or roller skating.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation experience was great. It pays off to check-in online in advance. The process was quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I was a little disappointed with the number of choices for restaurants. The asian restaurant doesn't have Hibachi. For a ship this size, I expected more options than 2 main dining rooms and 4 specialty restaurants. On the main dining rooms, the menu didn't vary a lot. Desserts were disappointing.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The only cool thing was the Seaplex with bumper cars. However the bumper cars hours were very limited and the waiting time was long. I was disappointed to see that the new amazing ships still have the same old boring activities: bingo, trivia, napkin folding class, etc. I was expecting a more modern list of activities. It didn't feel very different from being in an older smaller ship as far as activities are concerned.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Shows were good but they repeated multiple days. Comedy shows were weak.

Children's Programs

My children didn't join the kids' club.

Service and Staff

Staff is always wonderful on cruise ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin size was perfect.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

4 out of 5
You need to take into consideration the traffic in the area (Newark, GW bridge) and plan extra time to get there.

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Change of itinerary

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas Did not visit port

Change of itinerary

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Nassau is not my favorite port of call. The access to beaches is through hotels and they charge a lot of money to provide very poor service.
