The cruise was nice. We were in a group of 29 people and we hardly saw eachother. The ship is very well designed and technologically advanced. Lots of USB ports in the room for electronics and cell phones. The Royal App is nice but wish it had texting capability.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Smooth. As long as all documents station including photo is completed ahead of time it is a breeze.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was exceptional. Did have one night at Wonderland and it was delightful. A hidden gem is the Solarium bistro for dinner. Exquisite menu/buffet for appetizers.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Lots of activities for all ages.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The entertainment was good. Nothing spectacular. Also, not knowing the guest entertainment schedule ahead of time made it difficult. We had to move a scheduled show twice to see guest entertainers.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All of the staff are overly friendly and helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Love the layout and design of this ship. Very easy to navigate and had great directional signs. Did not geta chance to explore it all and we were on for 10 nights.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was great. Had good views looking out to the ocean. Did not have a lot of privacy since it was in the center of an indentation. Other rooms could partially see on to tha balcony from their balcony. Also the overhang did obstruct a bit of the sun when overhead.
Ship tip
Try dinner at Wonderland. Keep an open mind and enjoy the experience.
We visited the Hopewell Rocks at the Fundy national park. It was cute. Long 2.5 hour bus ride. Minimal bathrooms and our bus broke down half way back to the ship.
Did the Old Towne Trolley Tour. Although all of the pictures show hop on hop off buses. It is not hop on hop off. They just use the same busses. Not clear when booking it.
Glad to see you enjoyed my beautiful home state of Maine! Be sure to hit up the thirsty whale for the best fried clams if you are ever back in Bar Harbor again!
