Review summary

Overall, I had a wonderful cruise. The food, the entertainment was great(from what I saw), the crew kept us comfortable, full, and loaded lol! And they kept the ship in good shape from start to finish. The only gripe I have is the seat/deck chair hogs are still lurking, but they didn't rain on the party!

Onboard Activities

North Star was amazing! Missed out on the ifly because of scheduling and I didn't have the patience to wait every time it was open hoping for cancellations. There was a lot more to do like the belly flop contest, cannon ball contest, volleyball against the crew(they beat us because of home pool advantage lol).

Entertainment

We Will Rock You was awesome! They only should have had better balance between the music and vocals as far as the mics were concerned. The singing and dancing were awesome and the FINALE?! A MUST SEE!!! The comedians were pretty good, the live bands at poolside, Boleros, The Schooner Bar, The Music Hall, were all good. The silent party was ok, I've been to better in reference to the DJ selections. The Crazy Quest?! Crazy as well and if you offend easy, don't even go. But if you do, expect to participate.

Children's Programs

My granddaughter went and they were very good with her and the other children who came with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
MDR wait staff Nengah and Manisha were wonderful! I wish I had more to give them for their excellent service from day one to the last night. Whatever we asked for, they went above and beyond for our table. There were a couple of bartenders who were also on point and I am sorry for not mentioning their names, but I thank them all for their help. Guests Services were very helpful and moved folks along quickly solving their issues.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This was my first sailing on a Quantum Class ship and I must say, all the pictures and videos I've seen did no justice when seeing everything up close and in person. The ship's crew were constantly cleaning and that made me feel good and wondered what the folks who said they didn't were talking about.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Had a virtual balcony stateroom, which was a lot bigger than I expected and the closet/drawer space was plentiful for wife and I. Cabin Steward was on point, just a bit disappointed I didn't see him much( that happens when you're on vacay and having a good time).

Ship tip

When disembarking, take your own luggage instead of having them checked the last night before disembarking. It will be a lot quicker getting off the ship as opposed to checking and having to wait until your group number is called to get off the ship, then having to track your bags down before leaving the terminal.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

A very good spot to get to seconds away from the ship, only $7 round trip for the ferry to the beach. The locals were out selling, but if you told them no, they moved on. Also, still recovering from the hurricane, a lot of the beach was eroded from the last time we were there in 2017, but still a great spot!

King's Wharf, Bermuda

Horseshoe Beach was good, very crowded and a good ride from the ship which was $14pp round trip. The beach overall has a beautiful view the water was pretty calm and you should arrive as early as possible to get a good spot.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Disappointed by the some of the stores being boarded up and law enforcement presence due to the riots prior to our arrival. We almost didn't get to stop there, but we were able to have a nice tour guide show us the forts and Old San Juan. The umbrellas were taken down (again due to the riots), but the visit to Senior Frog's totally made up for it.

Disembarkation

We didn't tag our luggage for pickup because we just decided to take them ourselves. By doing this, you don't have to wait for your group to be called. All was going smoothly until we got to the terminal to get to customs and leave. The staff who were directing the people led us all around and delayed us a bit. Other than that, disembarking was good.

Traveler Photos

The menus were pretty good each night and our servers Nengah and Manisha were wonderful! If we wanted to try something else or have extra, they were great! Wonderful Views of the New York City skyline! One Of My Favorite Places! Cool Spot!! Beautiful As Usual!!! Way Too Much Fun!!!

After getting your luggage , or if you already have it, look for a porter which will get you to customs fast. You do have to tip him.
