Review summary

This was our first time on a Quantum Class ship and found out the experience is the same, GREAT. We still prefer the Oasis Class

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Used a car service from the airport, from the time we exited the car until the time we boarded Anthem 14 minutes. Impressive would be an understatement

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Top notch as always, purchased the Ultimate Dining package , purchased the Chef’s Table, and ate one meal in the MDR(s). Jamie’s was great as was Chops. Wonderland for us was a novelty to us a one and done experience. Chef’s Table great experience but wish the menu would change, the exact same as Oasis of the Seas we had in October. Also some of the duplication of desserts at the Specialty Restaurants was a little disappointing

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Way too much to mention and something for all ages or interests

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Again pretty top notch, personally not much for musicals but all of the performers are very good, comedian was a little adult but it was billed as such. Would like to see more comedians and other variety type entertainment

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward awesome, ALL wait staff awesome. The Captain was everywhere and approachable. Mitch the CD did a great job as usual, we had him on Allure

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Anthem designed for cold weather climates but offered a lot of variety, never felt crowded, never felt bored

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cleanliness- perfect, design - perfect, soundproofing- didn’t hear our neighbors or hall traffic, Storage - more than adequate

Ship tip

You are on vacation with 4,500+ people, it’s your vacation, it’s my vacation set your expectations accordingly. Let’s be polite let’s be conscious of your fellow passengers, say hello , start of conversation with someone they could be from another state or another country. Avoid the rudeness of the typical things you see on a cruise ship, line cutting , saving deck chairs, not washing your hands frequently, and so on

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Very easy to maneuver around purchased a day public transportation pass used both the bus and ferry both were a great experience. Port and area was friendly, clean and welcoming

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Did the bike excursion was a little less than thought it would be but still a positive experience the tour folks were very accommodating and friendly

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Probably our favorite port of call did both a car ride and walking around

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Not our first time so we just hung out for a little while and went back on board, did the jet skis on a previous cruise to Labadee and it was a blast

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
This really appears to be an industry issue of how to improve this experience. We did a walk off for our last two cruises and just seems while the cruise staff do their best to organize it fails to succeed. Passengers are rude , line cut , impatient. Look I get it you are tired because you are up early, your vacation is basically over, and you probably have a day of travel ahead of you but again we all are in the same boat (ship) suck it up cupcake and be a part of society

Great review. Do you remember how much was the cost from airport to the port?

Thanks for the review. Why do you prefer the Oasis class over the Quantum class?
