Review summary

The best cruise I've been on thus far and Royal Caribbean is by far, the best cruise line to date. Their employees went above and beyond to make sure quality and service didn't meet the standard but was far above the standard. And it was seen throughout the ship, whether it was the stateroom attendant, wait staff, cleaning crew, chefs, bartenders, directors, everyone. I absolutely had a fabulous time aboard the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was very good but, I would suggest more Vegan options, other than salads.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Always something to do; whether it was a show, trivia, bingo or enjoying various genres of music. You were never bored.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent shows!! Spectra's Cabaret was extraordinary.

Children's Programs

I was not traveling with children.

Service and Staff

Excellent service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship and every bathroom I went in was clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Perfect for a single person.

Ship tip

Enjoy every moment and make the required reservations for the shows, Ifly, The North Star and Florider. These fill up rather quickly and you don't want to be disappointed if spaces are completely filled.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

Easy port. I think the $20 a day parking fee is rather steep though and shouldn't cost so much.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Port was a bit busy to navigate. Flavors of San Juan was an excellent excursion. The food was delicious and the tour guide knew her history about Puerto Rico, which was great.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Port was a bit confusing to navigate but there was a dispatcher there to direct you, which was great. I toured the island with Sunny's Truck Tours and had a fabulous time.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

The information station is right at the port to help direct you, which was great. I toured the island with Annie's Caribbean Tours and it was the best tour I ever experienced. We toured and stopped at many locations, which was phenomenal. And at the end of the tour, Annie treated us with a cup of her Holy Ghost Rum Punch, and it was delicious. Annie knows her history and this tour was, in my book, the #1 tour to do.

St. John's, Antigua

Easy port to navigate. I toured the island with Voyages of Antigua and completely enjoyed myself. The tour guide, Julie was great. Antigua has become my favorite Caribbean Island this far. We toured the marina and various other points but were around the local community more, not just the tourist areas, and that was great.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

With the help of the information station, the port was easy to navigate. I toured the island with the Double Decker Open Top Tour and it was nice. Traffic was just so great and no one likes traffic. The Carousel and gelato was the highlight. Not too many historical sites were visited, so I really don't know if the island actually has historical sites to visit.

Disembarkation

Straight forward and easy.
