Review summary

As my title suggests, I have wanted to do this cruise because of my love for lighthouses and I wasn’t disappointed. We had a perfect weather week, no rain (except a few drops in Halifax) and temps were perfect. Royal Caribbean is our cruise line of choice and I can’t wait to go on our Caribbean cruise next April.

Pools and hot tubs very relaxing

Entertainment

Shows were wonderful - a lot of talent - loved the live music - Royal Swedes great!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward Paulo was outstanding. Anything we needed, he was there. Our waiter Roy and assistant waiter Antonio were very attentive. We actually saw our head waiter every night (Alan) who always checked to see that everything was alright.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is a little too “austentatious” for me but I always saw staff cleaning common areas and we always had to wash our hands before entering the Windjammer.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our balcony room was great - we love going outside and just relaxing. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was a nice size even for my husband.

Our first lighthouse stop and it didn’t disappoint - loved all the lighthouses we saw but especially Portland Head.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Beautiful quaint town with the Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mtn - could see for miles!

Saint John, New Brunswick

Hubby and I walked to the Reversing Falls - you can do it but I recommend taking the Pink bus since it is quite a hike.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Peggy’s Cove was outstanding. Tour guide was excellent and we also stopped at Fairlawn Cemetery where 150 people from the Titanic are buried.
