We went on the Anthem in 2015 in its first summer. At the time it was on the dynamic dining, which we loved and think it is a pity that they got rid of it. The food then was lovely, plenty of it and very nice choices. The only problem we found was that the curries were no where near hot or spicy enough for our taste but appreciate that they have to prepare dishes according to the majority taste. To be honest can't begin to think how they manage to prepare so much food for so many people each day. Having said that I just love not having to shop, cook or wash dishes for a couple of weeks. Think it is best just to go on a cruise and relax and enjoy yourself.

I have to disagree with jrkh????? (Sorry too many letters and no glasses atm!) while some menu items are the same There are different head chefs on every Royal ship- from different parts of the world and my experience has been that this greatly influenced the food! That being said I thought the food on Anthem was great, maybe not blow your mind great but pretty darn good! Food is such an individual thing- I’ve heard people say Royals food sucks carnival is better, then I hear even more say carnival is terrible Royal is better, it just depends people!!!! I’ve been on a lot of cruises and Anthem is my favorite ship by far, I promise you if the food was “BAD” this would not be the case- For the record Norwegian Escape is 2nd, RC Harmony is 3rd, Allure is 4th, Oasis 5th, Norwegian jewel is a definite last place! In the next few weeks we will be on Norwegian Getaway and right after RC Mariner- I’m so excited to update my list!! :)

I'll be on Anthem in Oct, with over a dozen places to eat I find it hard to believe that the food is not up to par. I usually cruise for the itinerary and convenience.

Clearly I have to up my culinary game. I'm always fairly impresed with the food considering the number of passengers and the amount of time they have to prepare that much food 3 times a day daily. It may not always be what I want, but it is generally more than what's in my fridge at home.

On Anthem right now. The extra cost specialty restaurants are quite good, they didn't dissapoint. Of course we have dinner in 40 minutes at Wonderland but I think it will be good. Can't speak to the MDR on this trip but the as time on Anthem, MDR was good.

Ok so I am not saying you didn't have bad food, in your opinion. But to say that it was noticed by " all on board," is just over the top. You asked everyone??? Royal Caribbean serves the same food on every boat, so when you say, the food was mediocre, then you can imagine all the other boats, have same. Not everyone enjoys the food, I get it. Just no need to dramatize the scenario by quoting all on board

That's not good. I've seen a lot of negative reviews on the Anthems food (nothing else). Hopefully they get this corrected.
