Review summary

Overall a nice cruise, the cruise ship itself could have been designed a little better IMO. I understand Royal tried to cram as much as possible on the ship and my kids loved the activities. I DID NOT like the fact that they hound you while on board eating breakfast, lunch and dinner like salesmen to book other restaurants. This practice needs to stop as you cannot have a peaceful meal with your family without these "salesmen" coming up to your table with menus from other establishments.

The drinks were wonderful....if you are willing to pay $14 for a mixed drink or $8 for a beer without the beverage package. The food was ok...by ok I mean not great. I think with almost 5k passengers on the ship the kitchen staff is pressed hard every meal and corners end up being cut.

The first two days my room was spectacular. Then it went downhill, almost as if the room attendant didn't care anymore. my kids love the towel animals, on our 9 day cruise we only had two. We were also shorted towels on a few nights and had no cups in the bathroom a few nights.

The ship is very clean. My rating is on the layout of the ship. It seems as if Royal tried to squeeze in too many options for almost everything. Everything is packed in way to tight. Johnny Rockets for example has two sit down booths and a few bistro.

The beaches we visited were AMAZING! It is a shame that the hurricane has devastated so much of the island. The residents are also VERY friendly/

I do not even know where to begin....THIS BEACH IS AMAZING! One tip....RENT A CABANA!!! Our attendant O'Neil was WONDERFUL!!

Our room steward was fantastic. Guess it depends on who you get. I wouldn’t like anyone coming to our table like that but honestly no one ever approached us except the ones taking pics during dinner
