The Royal Caribbean was an excellent cruise. The staff were all helpful and friendly, sharing their stories and suggestions. The ship has every thing you could possible need for a week of relaxation and fun. I was impressed by the cabin size, so roomy and lots of storage space.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We parked our car in Cape Liberty, it was so easy. There were people there that guided you, we just pulled up and dropped off our luggage to a waiting royal caribbean staff and pulled the car right into our parking spot. The system they have to get everyone into the port is quick and efficient.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was very good. The main dining room is elegant and the service was great and the food very good. The speciality restaurants food was also very good, with nice personlized service from the staff. Make an appointment at the Chops Grilled -- service and food truely amazing.
The buffet was ok, it had a very wide variety, I'm not a fan of buffets. But the food was good, you had to be on look out for a seat, we usually got on fairly quickly.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was a large variety of things to do on the boat. Swimming, basketball, rollar skating, bumper cars. Lots of evening entertainment, they have 4 or 5 bars, each with their own unique style. There were plenty of shows throughout the week and they were all very good.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The ship offered many different shows. Their were 4 or 5 bars that had different type of music each night. The three main shows The Gift, Caberat and We Will Rock You were all excellent shows. They had many audience participation shows, they were really good.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All the cruise ship staff were very helpful and friendly. It's refreshing to be surrounded by nothing by happiness. The staff always had a warm smile and a greeting for each guest.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship is very clean, it's a newer ship, so no run down areas. The staff was diligent in keeping areas clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was amazing, roomy and very clean. It was much more space than I anticipated. Two closets with plenty of cloths draws to put items in. We had a balacony, that was very nice. The provide two high back chairs with foot rests and a little table. This was the most surprising aspect of the ship, was the spaciousness of the room.
Ship tip
The dining is a little confusing, they need to clarify that better to the passageners. I had the My Dine eating option, took me two days to figure out where I was able to eat other than the buffet. If you choose the My Dine option, it is recommended that you make reservations for dining, it gets very crowded.
Make your reservations for the iFly and the Eye in the Sky rides as early as possible, before you get on the ship. I booked my trip only a month before sail and could not get on either ride.
It was great! I could not beleive how easy it was to leave the ship and get out to our car with all of our luggage. The cruise line was very organized and the lugguage was clearly maked by your assigned number. The porters are standing right there waiting to help you. It took out appoximately 20 minutes from the time we began to leave the ship until we were in our car. It seems that the Cape Liberty is only for Royal Caribbean cruises, so you don't have all the confusion of multiple ships docking at once.
Glad to read this. O will be cruising on her in January. How were the formal nights? Did anyone dress up? Did it ever feel over crowded? How wre the lines for the bumper cars
