Clean and modern ship. Excellent crew. Very good food. Excellent entertainment. Kinda knew the ports weren’t going to be our favorites and we were right. Bayonne was an awesome port to embark and debark from. Booked the same ship for next year, with a different itinerary and time.
Embarkation

Embarkation couldn’t have gone any smoother!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Chops grill and wonderland were excellent. Jamie’s Italian was average. Buffets were good and had a big selection. Main dining room food was very good however the my time dining was disorganized and frustrating. Staff seemed confused and unprepared for seating. But I do want to add that the staff were all professional, polite and attentive.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There are several activities to choose from. Something for everyone. The solarium was wonderful for crushing out of the northeast.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
All the shows were very good. Especially we will rock you and spectras cabaret. The singers and dancers were outstanding as well as the comedians and other performers. The solo guitarist at the bar was amazing, taking requests and having fun with the audience.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service and staff were excellent as expected from Royal. A special mention to our room steward Stacie and main dining room waiter Aubrey.

Basic size, balcony was big and private. Room was very clean and arranged nicely.
Ship tip
There are a lot of people on the ship. Do your planning and take into consideration that at certain times, places get congested, ex; buffet, dining rooms, cafes. A little difficult to get a deck chair too. I commend the die hard people who sit on their chair early for their afternoon sun but not happy with those that throw a towel on it with sun glasses or a shoe to save it for use hours later. Selfish.
This port was canceled do choppy water for the tenders. Very disappointing!!!! I realize that’s why they are building a dock, however, it isn’t complete yet. I learned that it is very common for this port to be cancelled for that reason. You would think since they own the island they would be all squared away. Definitely not.
