Would love to cruise again on this ship and bring our grown children this time as they would have really enjoyed it. Would ask that the crew or RC let new cruisers know dinning options better starting on the first day so that guests with my time dinning know which restaurants they can attend daily, and make sure that parents with young children do not let them go all over the ship unattended. Wish more guests would step it up a bit and look/dress nicer even on casual days. Enjoyed the formal nights and the casual nights, was just disappointed in the guests that dress like they are going to wawa for a cup of coffee in their dirty sweatpants at all times of the day. yuk! Captain and crew should be commended on their professionalism, it is definitely a well oiled machine that is trying to keep everything offered on board running smoothly and the staff did a excellent job in accommodating 4000 guests and making it look easy. Well done Royal Caribbean! We Will Be Back!!!

Food and Dining

buffets were ok, staff all very friendly. Presentation of food was good, choices were good & germ prevention was appreciated. just too busy & too many kids under our feet that were not supervised by their parents. One morning we had to sit at a 8 person bar height table and parents of 6 kids (ages 2-9) sat the kids with us and left to sit at other tables, didn't supervise their kids at all. Main dinning room was excellent, our waiters I. Edi & Everestus were amazing. we loved them so much we went every night but one. We did not go to any specialty restaurants.

Service and Staff

Our waiters in the main dinning hall were amazing! Iwayan Edi and Evarestus were the best and treated us like royalty, were very attentive and sweet. We went there every night except the first night because we didn't know that we could and one other night that we went next door. we tipped them extra at the end as they gave us such a wonderful experience. Royal Caribbean needs to be more clear in letting guests that haven't cruised before know what and where their dinning options are when boarding the ship. Cindy our room attendant was also very sweet and did a wonderful job taking care of our room and we loved the 3 nights that she shaped our towels into animals.
Ship Quality

The ship is stunningly beautiful. two 70 is state of the art & theaters were nice. Ship is much more stable than when we cruised 30 yrs ago on our honeymoon, you can hardly notice the ships movement now. The crew was great at trying to keep everything and every guest sanitized at all times however I did feel queasy for two days and although we took every precaution not to get the norovirus that was onboard, my husband got it the day after we returned home.
Cabin / Stateroom

We were very pleased with the cabins appearance and cleanliness however we could hear noise above us all night that was very annoying. We couldn't figure out what or where it was coming from, the Windjammer restaurant maybe? Also, we were asked when making the reservation if we were celebrating anything special and I did say it was our 30th Wedding Anniversary so I thought that maybe there would be a surprise gift basket or decorations or something in our room but there wasn't so that was a little disappointing. Our steward was very nice though. we did get freaked out when what looked like a hazmat team was cleaning the room next to us because the kids were sick with norovirus.
Ship tip
follow every precaution for sanitizing to avoid norovirus which I believe is present at all times, be prepared to deal with parents that do not watch their kids and even bring them into adult only areas. Ask about restaurants and my time dinning so that you are fully aware of where you can eat besides the Windjammer where it is a little chaotic. The most important thing is to take advantage of as many things that the ship has to offer as The Anthem is a beautiful ship and the staff everywhere aim to please to make sure you have a great time.
It was a nice port. We took an uber to Cocoa Beach and enjoyed the beach and fishing pier. We tried to explore the neighborhood walking five miles back towards the ship but realized that we couldn't walk all the way back as the highway had no sidewalk so we had to call an uber to take us the last two miles back to the ship.
Loved Cococay and the set up on the beach by all the staff. We walked around most of the island and had a great lunch. It is a little crazy trying to get 4000 guests to the island in little ferry boats but it worked out well. Water was warm and there were plenty of activities offered for everyone. The chickens and iguanas running around were cool.
I felt like this port was not worth going to unless you went over to ATLANTIS on it's own private section of beach. I felt unsafe there even though there were Bahama police walking around, we were followed by man that seemed to be casing us and we walked to the beach and it was very dirty with a lot of trash on the ground and the public beach bathrooms were horrible. Total tourist trap and dirty in my opinion. wouldn't get off the ship again at that port if you paid me too.
we were up at 5:20am to carry our luggage off and the line was already up to two-70, we had to wait a good hour or so because immigration was not ready for passengers to disembark. Also we didn't leave the line to even try to get something for breakfast because the line to leave early was already crazy. I did try to get a cup of coffee but they had it roped off and only allowed the staff to give out coffee to each guest which was annoying.
