Review summary

Overall I think it was an amazing trip, everyone was so friendly, the guests, the staff, everyone. It really made for a great trip. I think the food could've been a little better but overall I think it was a great trip and I would do it again! Can't wait for our next cruise!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I think overall the drinks were okay. I only had soda but my boyfriend had the drink package and all of his specialty drinks were great. I had a few problems with soda, tasting flat. The buffets I didn't think were that good. The food was mostly cold. Dinners in the main dinning though were great!! Everything tasted wonderful and was served hot.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I think the onboard activities were great! They offered so many different things to do which kept everyone very busy. I do wish they had more availability for things. There were a lot of things we couldn't do. Slots were filled on the first day for the ifly and the north star. We saw there was an escape room that we wanted to try but when we looked on day two to schedule it all the slots were already filled which was very disappointing. There should be enough time slots available throughout the entire cruise for each passenger to do each activity. With 4,000 people there should be enough time for each person to go once on the north star- I do understand weather permitting, but the same thing with the ifly. I wish things didn't book up for the entire 7 days on day 1, especially as a first time cruise goer.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We had the pleasure of being on the ship for Halloween and it was fantastic! They had a great night for it with many things planned, the shows were fantastic. Overall a great experience with all of the entertainment.

Children's Programs

I did not have children with me.

Service and Staff

EVERYONE WAS AMAZING!!! I don't know the name of the person who did our room but he was fantastic every time we saw him in the hall he'd ask us how everything was going and what we did or had planned for the day. Another great person was a gentleman from Spain I can't remember his name, he was the one who took me on the North Star. I was with a large party and they were kind of loud not paying attention so he just came over to my friend and I and made us very comfortable explaining everything. I had a few people who really stood out though and they were in the dining room. Alicia we saw on the first night she was in charge of our large 15 group. Alicia went above and beyond for us and I truly appreciate it. Ryhan was in charge of our drinks and he never let us down. He brought us drinks when we didn't ask, by day 3 he had memorized almost everyone's drinks orders. Most of all that really impressed me and made the biggest impact of my trip was Fletcher, our waiter. Fletcher made us all really feel like part of his family. He went above and beyond and truly never let us down with anything. He brought additional starters when we didn't ask, he made great conversations and was a really down to earth guy. I will never forget Fletcher and I appreciate all of his hard work while we were there. Overall thank you to all of the staff who were very friendly and always positive always checking to see how things were and what we needed. Thank you to all of you!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I think the restrooms around the ship could've been cleaned more. I thought the ship design and cleanliness was great overall. I do with there was a water slide or some other type of fun water activities.

Cabin / Stateroom

I wish the beds were a little more comfortable and the room was a little bit larger, cleanliness was great though.

Ship tip

Well I wish maps of the ship were given ahead of time because even by day 6 I still didn't know where everything was. Otherwise I don't have much advice besides the ship is huge and good luck remembering where every thing is.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey Did not visit port

We only got on and off the ship here, we didn't do anything else.

Port Canaveral, Florida

We had a great time, we just went to the beach and walked that for a little while. I wish there were more options for excursions though. We were able to see from the beach the launch of the rocket from the space center which was so cool to witness.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

AMAZING!!!! There was so much to do and I didn't feel that we truly had enough time. Again the food was cold which was disappointing, the soda was flat and not cold. We did the at your leisure snorkeling as well as the blowup water slides both were a lot of fun.

Nassau, Bahamas

We had a great time. We went to the adventure park and got to swim with the dolphins. We had to be off the ship by 8:00am but nothing in the water park opened until 10:00am and we had to be back to the ship very early. I was a little disappointed we didn't have much time there, again for such a short period of time there was so much to do.
