Review summary

We enjoyed our cruise and the various ports. I would like to take a longer cruise up to this area in the future to include Prince Edward Island, Sydney and Quebec. Since this is one of the longer cruises, it gives you time to relax in between ports.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very organized, went very well having a time slot to check - in. Great idea!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room was good, our waiter and assistant waiter were excellent! Choice of food was good, but we expected more of a variety. I did like the option of the "classic" version or the specials of the night. Desserts of course are always the best. The Bionic bar was very cool to watch!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Lots of new activities to experience- we hope to get to more of them on the next cruise as they booked up quickly.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We did enjoy the We Will Rock You-excellent!!, the comedians were great, the magician comedian was funny and very entertaining. I did not care for the cabaret show. I did like the "gift" also. Charlie was great in the pub, the singer in the Schooner bar has a great voice. The 270 was entertaining and did enjoy the preview show, however, not good to sit on the sides as the view is not good.

Children's Programs

did not have children with us

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
most areas like waiters, room stewards - excellent, I did have a problem with one of the apps, and was assisted by one of the staff in the customer service area. He was excellent.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I did not like this design as well as the Allure. SO far that is my favorite ship. The shopping area is very crowded- people everywhere with no chance of getting out of the shopping area to get to other parts of the ship. I like the way the shops were set up on the Allure- the promenade area much easier to get around. The openness of the Allure is more the style that I enjoy as well as our friends that we went with. Looking forward to trying Harmony, or a ship in that class for a future cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We liked the set up- the extra closet space, it seemed to be roomier than the other ships. I liked the shower. Very clean, our cabin was very comfortable-bed very comfortable.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

5 out of 5
no excursion at this port.

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
I have been to Boston prior and there is always something new to see! Visited Quincy Market and the Cheers pub.

Portland, Maine

5 out of 5
very scenic, friendly town.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Very quaint city- lots of room to walk around and browse. We stopped at a local restaurant for lunch- excellent food there.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
a lot of history in Haliax, beautiful scenery. The Lighthouse is spectacular at Peggy's Cove!

Saint John, New Brunswick

5 out of 5
Beautiful- lots of fun- we went to the city market and a local pub-O'Leary's-lots of fun and sing along with guests - also took the double decker pink hop on hop off bus. Great tour of the city.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
very organized. Wait time to disembark, was minimal.
