Review summary

The staff on the cruise was wonderful!  Our stateroom attendant was very accommodating to our requests and needs, as well as our schedule.  Restaurant and bar staff were great!  The ship is really cool.  Unfortunately the ship had a propulsion issue shortly after leaving Bayonne, NJ forcing us to travel at a much slower rate and getting repairs in Nassau.  Our schedule was adjusted and we ended up spending most of our morning on land in Cape Canaveral at the end of the cruise, with a mandatory trip thru customs regardless if you were taking an excursion to shore.  We felt like we lost half a day.  Given that situation, and the fact that we were traveling more than at ports, we will never take a cruise to the Caribbean out of Port Liberty again.

Food and Dining

decent quality food, the one night at the specialty restaurant, Chops, proved they do not know how to make a medium rare filet. She got what she ordered after the 3rd try, I just chewed mine down.

Ship tip

If you like cruising to the Bahamas, book it out of Jersey. If you'd rather spend time in port of calls, fly down there and get a ship out of Florida or somewhere.

That makes no sense? Did the Carribean or Port Liberty cause the proplulsion problem?

funny you stated this because we were on the Norweigion Breakaway and I noticed that the Anthem stayed closed to us the entire cruise. I had a feeling there was something wrong with one of our ships. Never the less it was cool to see the Anthem and Breakaway in such close proximity.
