Review summary
I will begin by saying that had this been my first cruise with Royal Caribbean, I would not sail with RC again!! It began with my daughter's room, which consisted of 3 girls and no hairdryer. We asked but were told they were short hairdryers so they went all week without one...especially hard when getting ready for dinner and formal nights. Thank goodness we were there we were able to juggle ours back and forth so they could at least further hair. Next we had boat difficulties, propeller issues which took us directly to the Bahamas, bypassing our first stop in Florida. Looking back, I'm still hoping they did this for safety, which is hard for me to see or believe, rather than merely trying to make or keep on schedule. Safety should have been first and foremost. Because our route was changed, once we arrived Florida as our last port we sat out on the pier at port canaveral for 3+ hours until immigration was completed. No place to even sit, let alone walk or go. I find it hard to believe that this was the very first time this happened. It was very disorganized and chaotic with ONLY 2 workers attempting to get a disgruntled mass mob back onto the boat after of hours of waiting. When we went for our excursion at Naussau, there was no one to meet us or father our group together to give us details or to tell us where we were to go or where we should be...once again not organized or informative. We tried to take advantage of the activities on the boat only to be told that the North Star was cancelled but was not, so we missed the opportunity to experience that. And our ifly reservations were messed up so only part of my group could go and participate in that experience. On our last day we were on the deck where the rock wall was and we were sprayed with diesel fuel from the boat stack, ruining all our clothes. Looks like we had been sprayed with a paint gun. Knowing now, with the drudeness and disrespect we received when I waited in line for hours at guest services, we would have marched down to the service desk coated in grease for ALL to see, but I thought being such a faithful crown and anchor past cruiser we would have received more compassion over the situation when after scrubbing and I mean scrubbing from head to toe to remove the oil from our bodies I then took our clothes down to the service desk to show them. After asking to speak with a manager he told me there was nothing he could do, but to take care of it with Royal Caribbean off the boat. I was literally appalled with his behavior and reaction toward rectifying this situation with us. Needless to say, we may never sail with Royal Caribbean after ALL the issues we experienced on our past cruise!!
