Review summary

Besides the people working on the cruise being unfriendly and unprofessional, there were a number of them that were down right nasty.  The food was very disappointing, including the soda machines which were not working more than they were working. Don't buy the soda package.  It was our honeymoon and when our family member made the reservations they asked for something special to be done, i.e. champagne, rose petals, sign on the door, etc.  We were disappointed when there was no acknowledgement of our special occasion.  We were able to make a fun time by meeting some really nice people and reserving our excursions before we left.  Will be contacting our agent to complain and hopefully get a refund of some sort.  Will try another cruise, definitely NOT ROYAL CARIBBEAN.

I was on the same cruise as you an had no problem.  The soda machines worked fine for us. Yes they have to be recalibrate periodically but that never stopped us from getting a refill at a bar if needed. We ate mostly in Silk and Grand and the food was awesome there and the other restaurants were very good as well.  Your champagne  package should have shown on your reservation as paid, they're not complimentary. The staff we delt with were quite friendly, though not as bubbly and energetic as some other ships we've been on. Sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise.

What I think makes poor experiences and people unhappy is when mistakes are made, it's how management recovers from it. No one is perfect and sometimes things just go wrong, but it's the treatment of staff and managers of how they deal with the poor experience. But also if people don't give them a chance to rectify it, they will not be happy either.

Seems this was your first cruise experience? And as bad as it was you would still book another cruise with another cruiseline? That statement alone shows there were way more positives then negatives..

RC runs in away that is amazing for some types of people, and aggravating for others. Sorry for the bad experience.

Anthem didn't do anything for Anniversary either. But I bought a pkg onlime a d had the room decorated. But for my son's bday they gave hime a huge cupcake in his room and again I had bought a pkg online to have his room decorated. The cupcake was free though. Lol

Sorry to hear about you experience. We cruised on that ship in May and it was great. The food was okay but the entertainment was great and the people couldn't have been nicer.

Sorry you had such a bad experience. We have yet to have a bad cruise but some day our luck may run out. I do know that RCI does nothing for free and I am not surprised they didn't acknowledge your event, although your travel agent could have secretly footed the tab for some champagne or something. Just to give me perspective, what has been your favorite cruise line and ship?
