New Mega Ship Anthem of the Seas

Sail Date: April 18, 2016

Reviewed: 7 months ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Balcony

Very impressive floating village that has amazing art work throughout the ship.  Food other than specialty restaurants was just okay and sometimes waited very long for food to be served. As usual Chops lived up to its reputation. Italian restaurant was very good but was not that impressed with Wonderland for an extra $49/person.  Very small casino. Even though there was smokers section the smoke was throughout the casino.  Seems like RCCL are now starting to nickel & dime you, everything has a price tag on it even items that were complimentary before.  TV in state rooms when you did get reception played the same shows over and over again.  To view a movies in stateroom again were costly. Staff were for most part very friendly and accommodating.  Cleanliness was as usual outstanding.  Captain was very clever and entertaining.  Loved the cruise director and his early morning tv show.  Jury is still out on whether to book another trip on this mega ship.

Cabin / Stateroom
lots of storage and bathroom & shower spacious. Room steward always had room clean and loved towel animals but missed chocolates on pillow each evening but missed coffee table in front of sofa
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Ship Quality
Destinations and Excursions
Onboard Activities
always something to do
Children's Programs
Entertainment
most of entertainment very good but main shows I could have missed
Service and Staff mostly friendly and accommodating
Food and Dining
average to below average food and wait time to be served very long

Tip

if you get same captain and cruise director you will love it
