We had the best time. My husband Barry really wanted to go on this ship Allure of the Seas. It was something he very much wanted to see and experience. He was afraid that he was building it up to much in our minds but that did not prove to be so.
It was huge and fun to explore. It was awe inspiring - as in how did they do that?!? Central Park is just beautiful any time of day or night. The shows were so good with amazingly talented people. We just had a great time!

All of the food was delicious and varied!
We were fortunate to have a lovely dinner at 150 Park Place. Our experience was even more fun and delicious due to Mayet. Her recommendations were perfect and she was funny and a pleasure throughout our meal
We also really enjoyed the windjammer at dinner. The is a very nice young lady there who was so kind and helpful and also had great suggestions, her name is Natasha. We also met Natasha again in Loco Fresh. Very nice person.

They were even better than we anticipated!
The promenade was always lively and fun.
We retreated often to Central Park. It is awe-inspiring and beautiful.
We used the walking track and really enjoyed using it as well as the views.
We sat in deck chairs. Very relaxing but even better is the Caribbean Band playing on deck. They are very very good. Their woman singer has a gorgeous voice! They should be selling their music.

We saw Mama Mia. They should burn the movie and everyone should watch this version. This version was incredible. The performers are so talented. The choreography was amazing. This gave us a enthusiastic appreciation for the show that we never had before this. The song " The Winner Takes All" is a show stopper. Great Show!

The staff is always smiling and kind. I don't know how they do it. They made us always feel special and I'm sure they did that for the other 5000 people also. The staff is exemplary.!

The ships design is amazing. You spent a lot of time wondering how they were able to design the ship, make it so interesting.

Cabin / Stateroom

We were in cabin 11728. It was a perfect cabin. We were one cabin off from the back of the ship. It felt private, the view stunningly beautiful. We never shut our curtains the whole time except early in the morning pulling into a port.
Our steward Umesh was perhaps the best part of our cruise. He is a very nice person.
When we didn't know how to get around Nassau and felt a bit overwhelmed, he gave us instructions to get to the main shopping district. And he was correct. From there we met other cruising people and teamed up to see various parts of Nassau. Umesh was so attentive and kind. He was very patient with us and always always had a smile. I love the little towel animals that he left in our room. I can not say enough good things about him.
Ship tip
Bring a fold up rain poncho! We got soggy wet with rain in Nassau. Royal Caribbean should sell them with their logo on them.
We could have stayed out much longer if we'd been dry
We were so afraid with the weather that we'd never get to see Coco Cay but the weather cleared and we had a ball! The water in January was pretty chilly to me but I had to go in anyway because how could I come to Coco Cay and not go in the water. I met people there who were from much cold climates. It helped that they made me feel like a wimp. I suddenly felt much warmer. We tried every part of the island. We went into every body of water we came across. We walked the island to see it all. It was great. We had lunch on the beach. We are older with no children so the water park was not our thing but there was so much for my husband and I to enjoy. It was a perfect day. I could see how someone could come close to missing the boat here as it is a totally fun and relaxing day.
