Review summary

Greatly enjoyed this Oasis-Class ship. Other ships have been updated, but not this one. Allure seems to be fine the way it is. Will try other ships in this class to find out. RC has made food service changes as has other cruise lines at management levels. It is not as good IMHO as it was prior to some of the changes.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
less than 30 min after outside dropoff (10am)

5 out of 5
Pools and hot tubs very nice in Solarium. A bit crowded.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Water show outstanding. Ice Games outstanding. Blue Planet good performance but biased theme.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Outstanding room staff and good on the balance of ship.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean in general. Elevators a bit crowded due to 6100 passengers.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Sufficient space, balcony door was difficult to seal. More space on ocean view Radiance trip however. No real complaints. Good service.

Ship tip

Early to bed should avoid Boardwalk balcony noise. Central Park-b better noise. Ocean-b quieter.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
Several uses yield consistent good impressions overall.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

4 out of 5
Not much here except for outstanding water clarity for water excursions. Scuba is world class, other activities have similar clear water experiences.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
Not much here except for outstanding water clarity for water excursions. Scuba is great.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
No excursions this trip however the scuba diving is fantastic. Many sites to choose from and 200'+ visibility logged. Clarity depends on calm sea conditions...rough weather yields poorer visibility.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Extremely fast...suggest fill out early departure survey for connecting flights.
