Review summary

Allure of the Seas met all expectations and then some. First time on such a big ship but didn't necessarily feel crowded. Absolutely the best feature on the ship is Central Park - thoroughly enjoyed sitting amongst lush greenery and hearing crickets chirp and birds sing.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy and quick to board the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food and drink were good but nothing too memorable. Missing the WOW factor to really make this area memorable

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the fitness center and the classes offered. Pools were kinda crazy on at sea days but to be expected.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows, comedians, Aqua Show and Mamma Mia! were excellent. Really happy with the entertainment provided on board

Children's Programs

No children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Can't say enough about the service and staff from all levels of the ship. These people work hard to make the cruise perfect for you and was great to spend time chatting to them and learning about their family and hearing about their culture and food.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This ship was spotless. Staff very quick to make sure common areas are clean and sanitized for all guests. Took a day or two to find my way around but signage is good and layout is well thought out.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Thought the cabin size was very workable and wouldn't cruise without a balcony to watch the ocean while sipping on a drink and feeling the ocean breezes. Bathroom was easy to navigate and plenty of room to store things away

Ship tip

Very big ship but easy to find hideaway locations to read a book, play cards or just sit and have conversation. Pay attention to capacity as this ship is huge.

Ports of call

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

3 out of 5
If you don't book a shore excursion I would recommend staying on the ship and enjoying the lack of crowds on pool deck. Not much at the port - not sure what they are doing with those port fees.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
The port provided good shopping opportunities to grab some souvenirs and took one of the ruin tours.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Cozumel was really fun and we did the City Trolley tour. Great way to see a little of the island and spend some time in the port shopping.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
On our particular cruise only 1 gangway working for disembarkation so there was a huge delay and then so hard to get Lyft or Uber drivers. Would suggest the port shuttle out Ride Share customers outside of the port to ease congestion and make it easier.
