Review summary

As an active member of the United States military, I was hoping to have a relaxing and stress free experience aboard this cruise. My friend and I both contracted COVID-19, had multiple port issues and no help from on board staff. We had gastro intestinal issues we assume from the food, and I never received any sort of military discount. I don't like to complain but I genuinely hated this cruise and I hope Royal Caribbean compensates me.

Small, Barely enough room for two. Felt like a cell. Our ''Ocean view" was of the forward deck, could barely see the ocean.

My family and I was on the same cruise. My husband got sick on the last sea day of the cruise. But in all we had a very good trip and will definitely sail again on this ship.

I was on that same cruise. No health issues. Wouldn’t do the Key program again. The elevators seemed wonky. But thought it was a great cruise.

I’m retired military and old (72+). Not all businesses offer military or senior discounts but I never expect a discount just because of my age or my military service and you shouldn’t either. If offered, then fine but you don’t “deserve” special treatment.

This doesn't sound like the actions of the Allure. It's a great ship and great service. Also, the cabins are definitely large enough for 2 people. Sorry you got Covid, but that's not the ships fault. It's the many inconsiderate people who don't care whether tney are sick and I fact others. Also, it could be from a port you visited.

Appreciate your feedback. Like already mentioned, usually the military discount is either an OBC (on board credit) added when booking or a discount on your fare when booking. Sorry you were disappointed.

Thank you for serving. On a Royal cruise in January, I developed diarrhea just before dinner. I called medical, and they came to my cabin to check me out. After the exam, I was isolated (had to stay in the cabin) for 24 hours, I was given immodium, pepto, a CDC form to compete, and a restricted room service menu. They called to check on me throughout the isolation period, and after 24 hours, I was "released". In addition to not being charged for any of this, I also received a Future Cruise Credit for I day's worth of cruise fare (about $100) for being isolated for a day.

Hi, thanks for serving. I'm retired AF, normally you get the military rate with the cruise line when you are purchasing if a lower fare is available but you have to ask for it. For me because I sail so much, lately my cruise lines promotions are much lower than a military rate. Hope you feeling better soon and your next cruise is better. Call RC customer service; they might have something set up to compensate, never hurt to ask.
